Introduction

Explorers! Jurassic World Alive has received Patch 2.6, and GamePress has everything you need to know about it! As always we have compiled all the information into specific articles, so you can focus on what you need to know! Below you will find the full list of articles:

For this article, we are going to talk about some of the Quality of Life (QOL) Updates and Bug Fixes. While QOL isn't always the most exciting part of an update, it can help with the overall enjoyment of the game.

Sanctuary Changes

Some creatures have changed their Sanctuary Placement Level. Why? The Placement Level is intended to reflect how easy/hard the creature is to find in the game. These modifications are to reflect some of the recent distribution changes that have occurred from previous updates. Here are all the changes. This is especially important for sanctuary planners as this could change who can place what kind of creature.

Geolocation & "Reduced Damage" Text

Geolocation

  • We slightly increased wild creature spawning for your enjoyment.
  • View distance for Common creatures changed to 300m (was 250m)

Hopefully, even a "slight increase" means seeing more wild creatures, but more specifically hopefully it means more epics. The Global pool is very large, however, so we just expect to see more Allo, Tany, Deino, and other global commons on the map more.

“Reduced Damage” Communication

Being uncertain of a battle situation can be damaging! That’s why we’ve decided to replace the word “Distraction” with “Reduced Damage” in most areas of the battle interface. This change was made to help players identify when damage reduction effects are active. Distraction is still included in the title of many abilities that have damage reducing effects, and there have been no mechanical changes to the effects of damage reduction.

Bug Fixes and Known Issues

About 136 of those pesky bugs have been squashed for 2.6! Here are a few of the most notable fixes that you are likely to enjoy:

  • While inside a Raid battle, the speed priority rules are not followed for Apex creatures.
  • Filter menu button in the Achievements section is missing the filter activated indicator.
  • Raid Boss may disappear if you dart a creature within its radius.

Known Issues:

Following the last update (2.5), the team became aware of a few issues that had been addressed. If you’ve missed it, check them out HERE.

Here are are some known issues still in the works:

  • Players may not be unable to make EPIC DNA requests between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM on Sundays.
  • Raid Boss hit boxes are too large.
  • Apple device players may receive offline / push notifications while online.
  • Raid invite push notifications are only in English.

Icons and buttons are all displayed on screen after a drone session or opening incubators on a 1 gig Apple device.

Parting Words

There isn't a ton of QOL additions this update, but hopefully, those known issues get fixed in a timely manner! Our discord should be talking about the new patch all day so if you want to join in on the convo, come check us out!
