Explorers! Patch Notes for Update 2.12 are here and as always we have all the coverage on everything. This update is dubbed the Campaign Update, and we have the info on that as well as other new features summed up for you here. This is what we have to look forward to this update.
The main new feature here is Campaign 2.0, hence the Campaign Update. They are calling it “new and improved’, though it is still designed to train DPG members about battle mechanics needed for battling success. This will include mechanics added to the game since the original campaign was introduced which is very welcomed considering how many new moves they add with every update (and the updates happen so often!).
They will also be reducing restrictions and replacing others with recommendations and adding difficulty. Once you complete a Chapter, you will be able to go back through at a harder difficulty to earn more rewards!
Some missions will have special objections, and you can also earn more rewards by accomplishing these extra goals.
All progress from the original campaign will remain intact, and if you’ve completed it then you will automatically unlock intermediate level.
As has become the norm with updates, we will receive some new Achievements to pursue. These are as follows, all campaign related:
- The Fierce Chapter – Complete this Campaign Chapter: Fierce
- The Common Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Common
- The Rare Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Rare
- The Rare Hybrid Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Rare Hybrid
- The Epic Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Epic
- The Epic Hybrid Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Epic Hybrid
- The Unique Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Unique
- The Mega Mix Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Mega Mix
- The Apex Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Apex
- The Special Test - Complete this Campaign Test: Special
New Tournament Rules
Ludia is showing they are listening by broadening the tournament variety! Beginning in January, they will implement new rules and restrictions to offer more variety to tournament players. This is something tournament players have been requesting for a long time, as the current formats have become monotonous and stale. We will learn more in January which will be here before we know it!
Creature Marker Improvements
The list of places in the game you can view your marked cards will be expanded to include creature preview in Shared Sanctuaries menu as well as sanctuary preview on the map.
Collection Improvement: “Create” Section
Once you’ve collected enough DNA to create a creature, that creature will now be sorted at the top of your collection for easier access. If you don’t feel like creating quite yet, you can close the section by tapping the small arrow on the section header. This seems a pretty nice improvement, as the creature list is quite long at this point and it’s a lot of scrolling to the very bottom to create. This game requires so much time, even saving a few seconds here and there is nice to think about.
This update sure looks to bring some nice new features. We especially look forward to the new tournament formats and restrictions at the new year. What do you think about the new features? join our Discord server and let us know!
