JWA News Update: May Seasonal Reward, May Daily Creature, New Alliance Mission Rewards, and 1.14 Maintenance

Hello Again Explorers! Wow, it's been a Monday full of news! The first Championships are complete and Congratulations to the top Alliances! This past weekend we were supposed to have a Cute Epic and Rare strike and it seems like they never appeared on the map. There has been some response from Ludia Support on the issue and it seems like they would like everyone to submit a ticket. Official staff on the forum posted the following:

We hope they actually send out some sort of compensation but we'll have to wait and see what their response is. In other news, May Seasonal Rewards, Daily Mission Rewards, Championship Rewards have been announced and we will also be getting Patch 1.14 this week! 

Last season we had the exclusive Titanoboa DNA, and this month it looks like we will be getting another exclusive epic creature: Blue! Here are all the details: 

Dates

• Start: May 04, 2020
• End: June 01 , 2020

Rewards

While this isn't the most exciting creature for some players, it is still an exclusive and has several uses. It is used for Indoraptor Gen 2 which is extrememly strong right now even after the recent nerf to Cautious Strike. For those that already have Indo2 at high levels, there is also the opportunity to level Blue for Tournaments. 

We were really hoping to see something like Mammoth for the daily creature this month, but it looks like will have Monolophosaurus as our reward for Daily Missions. This Local 3 creature is a component of Monomimus, then then creates Pterovexus. It is also an ingredient of Monostegotops. All 3 of these creatures are viable at almost any level of the game so it isn't a bad reward to have especially if you don't reside in Local 3. We do hope to see more exclusive DNA in future months. 

In addition to new Seasonal and Daily rewards, we also have an update to Alliance Missions:

  • Rare: Diplocaulus GEN2
  • Epic: Pteranodon

Once again, these rewards are underwhelming for some and exciting for others. Pteranodon and Tanycolagreus are good for Quetzorion and Spinosaurus should go well with all that Titanoboa we have now to create Spinoconstrictor. 

Patch 1.14 is officially coming. We had patch notes last week and today we got the announcement that maintenance will start on Tuesday, May 5th. 

Hello fellow DPG members,

In preparation of Update 1.14, we are expecting to go into maintenance break on Tuesday (05/05/2020) morning at approximately 9:00 AM (ET). During this time the game will be unavailable for play.

Watch the time tomorrow and make sure you aren't running a scent or battling when the maintenance hits or you will be kicked out of the game. It's also a good idea to start an 8-hour, 12-hour, or 24-hour incubator right before. Maintenance usually takes 3-4 hours or so. We'll be active on our discord while it's going on and will keep everyone updated as soon as it goes live. 

We will also try and get the spawn mechanics updated with the new creatures as soon as we know where to find them!
