Introduction

Hello Explorers! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! We had a pretty exciting week releasing our 1.14 Tier List! We are so grateful to finally be done with it and we already can't wait to see what the next patch brings. In other news: There has been an update to Tournament Points Distribution, we got some more creature family teasers, and we also know what the Hybrid Pursuit will be the next 2 weeks!

New Creature Families

Last Week they announced 3 creature families and we covered them in our News Round-Up. They were the Stegosauridae, Counter-Attacking Medium Theropod, and Damage-Increasing Medium Theropod Families. Today, 2 more families have been announced.

Tall-Legged Crocodilia

These ravenous creatures will have no issue giving Damage Increasing buffs to your entire team! Your opponent’s best efforts will have nothing on the Tall-Legged Crocodilia’s Defense Shattering Attacks.

This fearful family consists of:

  • Gorgosuchus
  • Kaprosuchus
  • Megalosuchus
  • Postimetrodon
  • Postosuchus

CA Medium Theropod

Ankylosauridae

These low to the ground creatures will tease your opponents with Armored Taunting Tanks! In battle, your opponents will not have much luck with their attacks because this strong family generates Shields to protect the entire team.

This strong family is made up of:

  • Amargocephalus
  • Ankylosaurus
  • Ankylosaurus GEN2
  • Ankyntrosaurus
  • Nodosaurus
  • Scolosaurus
  • Tragodistis

Anky Family

We still don't know if these changes will only be for PvE or if they will also affect PvP arena as well. We can't wait to see more, however, and we are loving the sneak peeks they have been giving out.

Tournament Points Distribution

There has been a lot of feedback lately about the medal distribution in tournaments. Specifically, there was a very large number of players reporting 40 point losses while they were only getting 20 points for a win. This distribution of points was quite demoralizing to the tournament players and made it difficult to rise up the ranks. Ludia has heard the feedback and done some balancing to the tournament points. In their announcement today:

Hello DPG members!

We hope your week has been going well. We’d like to let you know that we heard your feedback and have done some work on the Tournament balancing so you can have a much better playing experience.

Take a look at the chart below to see the improved points distribution!

We hope you have a great weekend, happy playing!

So as you can see, once you get above 800 medals, you will only lose or win 30 medals at a time. This should make it much easier to come back from a losing streak and will also help with the overall Championship points as well.

Hybrid Pursuit

If you haven't noticed, the hybrid pursuits are in a pattern and after Scaphotator the past 3 weeks we are officially done with the 1.11 Patch Creatures. That means the next pursuits will be 1.12 creatures and we got a look at what to expect next week as the first one that will be featured: Dilophoboa!

Diloboa Pursuit

Usually the creature on the left is the first to be featured so we are hoping Titanoboa will be live in the wild next week! This is an especially exciting pursuit as the snake is exclusive and can't be found in the wild outside of events. So make sure you get out there and stock up on the DNA!

Wrap Up

We hope to see even more glimpses at the next patch because it looks like it's going to be a BIG one! We'll keep you updated as we know more and wait in anticipation to see what else they have up their sleeve. Make sure to join our discord for more discussion and the most up to day information in the world of JWA!
