Submit Feedback or Error

Introduction

Explorers! What do you do when you sick of being stomped by overboosted Thors? Complain on the forums! What about when you are you angry the epic strike is juuuuust outside your radius and you can't reach it? Email Support!

But has it ever occurred to you that the fearless people who are answering our cries are ACTUAL PEOPLE! People who may even like PINEAPPLE on pizza and who think Carole Baskins is innocent?? Well, they are!

The Community Management Team at Ludia is in charge of a lot of the communication that goes out about the game and makes the news posts that bring us all the up to date information about Jurassic World Alive. In addition to the Community Managers, there is also support staff and moderators that interact with the community on a daily basis.

GamePress recently had the opportunity to interview several members of the team and we are excited to share that interview with you! We asked some more fun and personal questions (to get to know who they really are) as well as questions about their jobs and the game. We hope you enjoy and learn a little more about the people you might interact with on the forums!

Interviewees:

E.D. (Community Manager)

Keith (Community Manager)

Marcus (Community Manager)

Ned (Player Support)

J.C. (Moderator Admin)

This one is a bit lengthy so make sure you click on each question to see the answers. Enjoy!

Tell us a bit about yourselves!

ED:

I’m someone who loves to joke around a lot and spend time with great company.

Food is life! I love to eat, So I do cook and go out to try new types of food. Then I sit back and  complain that my clothes no longer fit. Oh well!

Keith:

I’m Keith, I hate things that smell… so working with dinosaurs is a nightmare some days. What makes me interesting is my sense of humor.

Marcus:

I’m someone who’s quite competitive and with a great sense of humor. The competitiveness comes from playing sports (hockey, soccer & basketball) and online video games (mostly FPS or sports). It doesn’t matter if we’re playing cards, pictionnary or charades, I will play to win :)! Laughter has always been the way people get to know me, and it’s the way I get to know them. I try to make people laugh to break the ice and it takes the pressure away. It removes that barrier a little bit so the real person comes out.

Ned:

I put ketchup on my poutine.

JC:

I’m a huge history nerd that works out 5 days a week and likes plants.

Best pizza topping? Worst pizza topping? Thin crust or deep dish?

ED:

Hard question! It’s truly dependent on my mood. I love an authentic Italian pizza, but something happens to me when I eat inauthentic, greasy, obnoxiously cheesy pizza!

Best topping: Pepperoni & Cheese

Worst topping: Pineapples, olives or anchovies. Just ew.

Thin crust. That way I can eat more pizza. I get full really fast with deep dish lol

Keith:

Best pizza topping: Pepperoni, you can’t go wrong with the classic.

Worst pizza topping: Olives yuck. The only good Olive is the one married to Popeye.

Crust: I like my pizza crust like Goldilocks does, just right. Thin is too small, Deepdish

is too thick, Regular is where it is at.

Marcus:

Great question, I LOVE PIZZA! I’m not too picky with toppings and would eat just about anything (even pineapple). I enjoy Margherita, Pepperoni & Cheese, All-Dressed and Nutella pizza for dessert. I do prefer thin crust though. This is making me hungry :)

Ned:

Best- Pineapple

Worst-Bell peppers

Deep dish all the way.

JC:

Best topping - Bacon

Worst topping - Olives

Deep Dish, no completion

Coffee or tea?

ED:

Coffeeeeeeee

Keith:

I take Coffee first thing in the morning, then drink Tea the rest of the day.

Marcus:

I rarely drink coffee and would much prefer tea as a hot beverage. Water is my first choice in general (boring right?).

Ned:

Coffee

JC:

Coffee, 2 milk 1 sugar

What do you like to do for fun?

ED:

Watching movies, spending time with family and friends, going to restaurants, chalet getaways.

Keith:

Besides playing Ludia games? If I am indoors, then playing MTG: Arena, or watching bad movies. If outdoors, swimming and canoeing.

Marcus:

To unwind and relax, I mostly spend my time doing something active such as sports or working out and playing video games. I also enjoy reading and browsing on social media (how obvious?).

Ned:

Hiking

JC:

Give me a patio and few good friends or a river and a kayak and I am good to go.

Did Carole Baskins kill her husband?

ED:

Hear me out lol. The editing was well done to make it look like she did. When they do this in movies, it turns out that it wasn’t that person at all but the person we least expect. I accuse Howard!! (aka Prince Charles. Doesn’t he look like him? Haha)

Keith:

I have not yet watched Tiger King, but I can only assume since Baskins-Robbins is still around. She tried to kill him after catching him in bed with Robbins by hiring the Tiger King to arrange an accident on some sort of exotic wildlife farm. So no.

Marcus:

Oh boy, am I the only one who did not watch Tiger King? Can’t answer, sorry! I just finished watching Money Heist and The Last Dance documentary on Michael Jordan. I highly recommend both ;)

Ned:

I have not watched tiger king

JC:

I think she did.

Do you have any pets?

 ED:

I have a cat. Don’t let her cuteness fool you, she’s a massive diva.

E.Ds Cat

Keith:

A dog named Roxy, not named after the drag queen. I inquired and was disappointed but I love her all the same.

Marcus:

My girlfriend and I have a cat. Her name is Mila. She’s adorable, but a feisty little one!
Marcus Cat

Ned:

No, 🙁 but I want a dog or a guinea pig. Perhaps an alpaca as well.

JC:

I have a cat, she’s a tiny floof named Sally

Their thoughts on Jurassic World Alive

What do you enjoy most about being a Forum Moderator/Community Manager?

ED:

I enjoy creating content as well as sharing information with the Community. I love seeing people’s passion and dedication to our games.

Keith:

Interacting with everyone reading all the comments players leave.

Marcus:

I enjoy creating social content, interacting and fostering a close relationship with the Community. When a big update or new features is on its way, I’m eager to share it with the fans and read their reaction. It really puts a smile on my face to see how passionate they are!

Ned:

Being able to play the games and interacting with the community

JC:

No two days are the same, I hate routine and doing moderation keeps my days exciting. Online safety is also something I am very passionate about, so in the end it was a natural fit.

How passionate can Jurassic World Alive players be?

ED:

Very passionate! Without that passion there would be no Jurassic World Alive! The production team is very appreciative of all feedback and they try their best to apply it to the game for the players.

Keith:

Jurassic World Alive players are the best, they care about the game so much it brings me joy.

Marcus:

Super passionate! We wouldn’t be here if the fans weren’t passionate about the game! I want to thank the Community for their continuous support. The feedback and suggestions you leave us everyday is a source of motivation and inspiration for the Developers to make the best possible game. It’s crazy to think that we already celebrated our 2 year anniversary this June!

Ned:

Very...very passionate lol.

JC:

JWA players have a lot of love for the game, and it shows!

How often do you play Jurassic World Alive?

ED:

As often as possible! I’d say multiple times a week.

Keith:

I play once in a while. I played more when I was on the project full time, but as I focus more of my attention on other Ludia games, my daily activity on JWA has decreased sadly.

Marcus:

It varies, but I do try to play as often as possible. I’m probably more active in the summer since I’m able to take more walks around the neighborhood. It gives me the opportunity to dart and collect more DNA.

Ned:

1 - 2.5 hours a day.

JC:

3-4 days a week, the forums keep me busy and I have a few personal commitments that eat up a lot of my time.

Favorite Jurassic Park / Jurassic World movie?

ED:

Original movie all the way. Jurassic Park is a classic! The water in the cup scene…. The kitchen scene, The toilet seat scene, everything! I.C.O.N.I.C.

Keith:

Jurassic Park the original was my favorite movie. So iconic!

Marcus:

The first Jurassic Park is by far my favorite. I’m also very curious to see where the Jurassic World trilogy is going to take us. Will we see more new dinosaurs on the big screen?

Ned:

Jurassic Park 3 of course!

JC:

Jurassic Park, it came out when I was a kid and my parents took me to see it at a drive in.  Good times. Good memories.

What is your favorite Jurassic World Alive creature and why?

ED:

I would say Blue. I win a lot of battles when I use her lol

Keith:

I have two: The Diplotator because it looks so derpy it makes me smile every time I see it. The second is Dracoceratops… for reasons I would not like to be on record saying 😉

Marcus:

Design and look wise,  I like the Indominus Rex a lot. It looks fierce, scary and powerful.

Ned:

Thoradolosaur because green is one of my favorite colors.

JC:

Diloranosaurus, it’s a solid Mild Apex pick (as of the tier list 1.13). I don’t battle much and in my current arena no one expects this guy to show up which helps me clear the dailies.

What is your most liked feature in Jurassic World Alive?

ED:

I like the AR feature. It’s so much fun to bring these dinos to our world.

Keith:

Sanctuaries, I love interacting with the dinosaurs, and watching the Goat faint when being met with a Smilodon.

Marcus:

Definitely the AR feature. I think the advancement in technology allowing us to spawn any creature in our living room is just mind-boggling. Who knows what more we can do in a couple of years from today?

Ned:

Collecting creatures and staring at them in the lab.

JC:

I really enjoy campaign mode and thought it was a great addition.

If you could be a Jurassic World Alive creature, which one would it be?

ED:

Any one of the Velociraptors in the Raptor pack. They’re small but vicious.

Keith:

Lord Lythronax, obviously. Why would anyone choose to be anything else?

Marcus:

Any creature with the CLOAK ability. Wouldn’t it be awesome to be able to just “disappear” once in a while?

Ned:

Dracoceratops

JC:

Dilophosaurus, favorite dinosaur as a kid and to this day. It’s a shame they didn’t have spit venom and an expanding cowl in real life but they were among the first, and largest, predatory dinosaurs in the Early Jurassic period.

What is your current Jurassic World Alive arena roster?

ED:

I change my roster every so often, but right now it consists of:

Blue, Baryonyx, Amargocephalus, Erlikosaurus, Velociraptor, Erlikosaurus GEN2, Dimodactylus, Pteranodon

Keith:

Allosinosaurus, Thoradolosaur, T.Rex, Dracoceratops, Suchotator, Utasinoraptor, Velociraptor, Indominus Rex.

Marcus:

I like to switch it up, but right now my roster is composed of: Stegoceratops, Sinoceratops, Allosinosaurus, Procerathomimus, Indominus Rex, Blue, Monostegotops and Concavenator.

Ned:

Thoradolosaur, Indo raptor, Diloracherius, Procerathomimus, Tryko rex, Maxima, Draco rat, Spinotasuchus.

JC:

Velociraptor, Tryannolophosaur, Indominus Rex, Allosinosaurus, Suchotor, Thoradolosaur (my only unique), Monolometrodon, Diloranosaurus

What creature would you most like to be added to the game?

ED:

Aquatic creatures would be a really fun addition. Hopefully one day, cross fingers lol!

Keith:

Probably, never going to happen, but I like crossovers, it would be cool to have Godzilla Monsters or Monster Hunter Creatures.

Marcus:

Not trying to start any rumors here! If possible, I think it would be cool to be able to add Aquatic creatures.

Ned:

Aquatic creatures 😊

JC:

Carnivorous Plants
