K-Pop Superstars BTS Eye Second Mobile Game Partnership with Netmarble

On August 21st, 2019, Netmarble announced a new partnership with K-pop band BTS. They will be creating and developing a brand-new mobile game based on the Korean boy band. Details about the new partnership are sparse.

The "concept art" trailer that was released included some questionable English and evocative live-action footage spliced together with a few stunning CGI sequences featuring a blown-up train track. Between the wanton geographic destruction at the end and the anarchic city in the beginning, this game could be about anything. A fantasy-driven RPG or a realistic Deus Ex-style open-world game or something in between.

BTS World is a visual novel/management game featuring the ability to interact and accessorize different members of BTS. 

The game has been a smash success for Netmarble, helping them secure the #1 spot in the iOS charts in the US, South Korea, Japan, and all South East Asian countries.
