Sanae Kochiya (Lunar War Oracle)

The sealing of everyone’s power in the world coded as B3 has had a harsh impact on all of the incident resolvers, including Sanae Kochiya. Without the power of miracles from Lady ___ and Lady ___, she was no better than the human she used to be, relying on prayers instead of performing miracles herself. Some of that power must have still remained in her heart, however, as her new set of guns and blasters are able to fill the godly power that was sealed off. With the ability to cause miracles once more and now under the code name Oracle, Sanae once again supports her friends as an amazing Friend.

Sanae does not bring any self-Accuracy support for easy one turn farming, but still holds an amazing amount of raw power. The Slice scaling on her Last Word, Divine Full Armor Purge, is very high and further supported by her own ability to increase Agility by 4 levels before unleashing the attack. As a Yang-only attack, her third skill, Snake Switch Unit, is helpful in increasing her Yang ATK by 3 additional levels, as well as guaranteed Yang ATK UP from the second and third lines of her Last Word. While consistently hitting every bullet alone can be difficult, this oracle definitely has the strength to follow up.

What especially stands out from Sanae’s kit is her ability to grant miracles- both to her allies’ benefit and the opponents’ detriment. This is primarily seen from her CRIT-related effects, including her first spell, Esoterica: Forgotten Ritual, decreasing every enemies’ CRIT DEF by 2 levels and the Solo target by an additional level as well as her second spell, Miracle: Night With Overly Bright Guest Stars, doing the same but for CRIT Evasion. Combined with her first skill, Ritual Framework, lowering CRIT DEF and Evasion by 2 levels and a final CRIT DEF and Evasion debuff by 3 levels from her Last Word for good measure, Sanae’s CRIT support is unrivaled with a total of 8 levels of CRIT DEF and Evasion DOWN on a single opponent. While she herself can benefit from this against any godly presences or dwellers of the Lunar Capital, her supportive capabilities for any CRIT-focused attackers should not be underestimated.

Her support does not end at CRIT debuffs, however. The previously mentioned Yang ATK buff from Snake Switch Unit and Agility buff from Divine Full Armor Purge are applied to the whole party, assisting in the Yang damage and Slice scaling of other Friends. Along with that is an ability shared with the original Sanae: healing. Both her second skill, Frog Resupply Unit, and Snake Switch Unit can heal the entire party by 40% and 70% of her total HP respectively. Divine Full Armor Purge, seeming even more like a miracle the more it does, also heals all allies by 80%. Furthermore, her third passive, Moriya Nexus, will heal herself by 20%, making Oracle an excellent choice for surviving long, difficult fights.

Her breaking potential is impressive as well, centered around a wide assortment of Star and Wood elemental breaks. Her spread shot, Iron Ring Laster, boasts a 0P Star break while her focus shot, Divine Pillar Canon, has a 0P Wood break, making her a very strong breaker on both fronts. Esoterica: Forgotten Ritual has 3 of both Star and Wood breaks and Miracle: Night With Overly Bright Guest Stars still boasts 3 Star breaks at 2 Spirit Power even if every bullet isn’t elemental. Thanks to the Spirit Power increase from all of her skills, accessing these breaks is made more convenient. She can even break Freeze barriers at 3 Spirit Power with Esoterica: Forgotten Ritual or Divine Full Armor Purge for further breaking utility.

Her damage output is slightly less consistent compared to other meta units that have double scaling in the form of Slice and Hard bullets. But even if her miracles are more supportive and might not be effective right away, Sanae’s new mechanical form does not disappoint. She will do her best to heal, debuff, and shoot down opponents with giant stars and lasers at the same time.
