Blue Hour (a Touhou LW original) refers to the time just before sunrise or sunset when the sky turns a fantastic blue. The temperament is apt for the pale blue moon rabbit. As a moon rabbit, Seiran is endowed with Wood Phase, the element of the rabbit, and Moon Essence, the element of the moon.

The strong and kind Wood Phase resists Water Phase, because water nourishes wood, but it is weak to Metal Phase, because metal carves wood.

The cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence resists the alluring and arrogant Sun Essence, but it is weak to the diverse and uncooperative Star Essence.

Mighty Birdie

Seiran's Focus Shot (a Touhou LW original). She uses a mallet to strike dango-like bullets (or are they actually bullet-like dango?) at her target. Somebody told Seiran that the way she uses the mallet reminded them of a particular sport, so she decided to use the word birdie in the name for good luck.

Bullet Sign: The Eagle Has Shot Its Target

Seiran's Spell Card. First, she shoots out a large bullet, and then she shoots it to make it explode. The name may be based on a rather famous saying from the outside world. When Seiran was standing on the moon's surface along with the lander at the beginning of that fateful mission, perhaps she felt the same way as the terrestrial who took the first step on the moon.

Lunar Cataclysm

Seiran's Last Word (a Touhou LW original). This explosive attack recreates the rain of meteorites that bombarded the moon in the past. It is obvious that the moon rabbits are of a different species than the Lunarians, but where did they come from? Were they always on the moon, or were the youkai rabbits brought from the earth...? Maybe someone somewhere knows the answer, but Seiran does not.

Seiran's ability sounds pretty amazing, but the details are unclear. It is not even known if her Spell Cards actually use her ability. The phrase "from other dimensions" makes it sound like the moon's incredible technology might be involved somehow...

Character Analysis

Seiran was released on July 16th, 2021 in "Prayer: Bunny Bunny Carnival." For more up-to-date analysis, be sure to visit the Official Discord Server.

A former member of the “Eagle Ravi” Earth Recon Unit, Seiran was sent to help purify the earth, as one of their advance scouts during the events of Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom. After that all failed, she decided to desert the moon and just live in Gensokyo instead, opening up a dango stand - alongside Ringo, who did the same. She has the ability to fire bullets from different dimensions.

For farming, either bring her to farm Hard one boss stages or look for someone else.

For hard fights, Seiran brings - a below average amount of Earth and Moon Breaks. Unfortunately all of her debuffs are only against one enemy, have low values, and just aren’t very helpful in the first place. Her damage is also rather low.

Overall, Seiran can bring a decent amount of Breaks to the table, and that’s about it. Just make sure not to tell her that Ringo’s dango is better.

Since Seiran’s Spell Cards are extremely Spirit Power hungry, each requiring 3 Spirit Power to get their third Break, she primarily wants extra Spirit Power. You can also shove an Accuracy Story Card into one of them to bolster the damage of her Last Word by putting something else on it.

Since Seiran lacks Yin ATK, it’s best to give her a Yin ATK Up Story Card and just accept the consistency loss, as you’re likely bringing her along to bosses. If for some reason you bring Seiran farming, any Story Card that provides Accuracy like Valued Tools of the Trade is her best bet.

All of Seiran's skills are kinda bad so just go with whatever your heart tells you to. You're not maxing them for any sort of combat ability, you're maxing them out because you love Seiran.
