Stories

Story 1
Miyoi Okunoda is a self-proclaimed zashiki-warashi. She's a mysterious girl who is rumored to be a type of youkai called a suima. She currently works at the fantasy pub Geidontei. Today, she was busy preparing the pub for opening but found a spare moment to take her friend to the limited-time souvenir shop.
Story 2
Whenever Aunn Komano the Komainu finds a place that looks likely to accumulate faith, she takes up residence there and works to protect it. She currently lives in Hakurei Shrine. While running an errand, she bumped into a friend, who took her to an unusual souvenir shop. She found the items lined up on the shelves to be most intriguing.
Story 3
Originally, the Japanese word "omiyage" referred to items one bought while traveling with the intention of giving them to others. Such items were often named after the region they were from. This is said to be a uniquely East Asian custom, but in many other cultures, the concept of "souvenirs" exists and refers to items people buy for themselves to serve as memorabilia of their trip. As time went by, these two concepts began to merge, and the meaning of "omiyage" expanded to include both. In the present day, souvenir markets can be found around the world, and even in East Asia, it's no longer rare for people to buy omiyage for themselves.
Story 4
Anti-Misfortune Grand Prix
There were some items that looked somewhat familiar and some that were totally new. The chaos of the shop shelves packed tightly with various goods served as a fitting visual metaphor for Gensokyo itself. But that comes as no surprise, seeing as this souvenir shop is the only one in Gensokyo and was opened with the assistance of well-known Gensokyo stores like Kourindou and the Kirisame Magic Shop. The crow tengu, yamawaro, and kappa also helped out. What makes it extra special is that it only opens for a short period every year around this time.
Story 5
The two customers had stepped into the shop for the first time and were enjoying looking around. It seems that a plushie hand-crafted by an unknown magician had caught one of their eyes. For anyone interested in what other goods are on sale, feel free to drop by sometime and take a look for yourself. There are rare items found by someone somewhere, items anyone would happily buy, and even a variety of mysterious items made by makers unknown. If you do happen to visit, there'll surely be a surprise or two waiting for you on the shelves. One word of advice--you'd do well not to break anything...
