Stories

Story 1
This event may have occurred before the two of them met. Or perhaps they had already met from the beginning. Either way, it probably happened. And it probably didn't happen. Theories drift through space and time. Speculation is lost between dimensions... And stories traverse through hearts and minds. The girl was lost in thought. "Satellite TORIFUNE... eh?" She enrolled in Kyoto University and would major in the leading field of theoretical physics―super-unified physics. "So it was an accident..." A heavy sigh escaped her lips. She felt like she had lost for some reason.
Story 2
Renko Usami is a member of the occult circle known as the Secret Sealing Club. She goes by the name Renko. She may not look it, but she's actually quite smart. (M.H.) Maribel Hearn is a member of the occult circle known as the Secret Sealing Club. She goes by the name Merry. She may not look it, but she's actually quite adventurous. (R.U.)
Story 3
The girl thought just a little bit more. After the construction of the massive satellite was completed in low orbit, it was sent much higher up to a geosynchronous orbit. In fact, you could say that the satellite's orbit was closer to the moon's orbit than to the Earth. I can imagine how detailed and complicated the design of such a satellite must be, but I cannot figure out what caused the accident. On the news, they said it was caused by a bug in the control program and that the backup for the main system was currently being investigated. Them saying that there is a bug is a straight-up lie. I'm sure the results of the investigation will show that everything is acting as it should be. This wasn't such a cheap project to fail from such things. So why did TORIFUNE leave its orbit?
Story 4
Satellite TORIFUNE is a satellite with a built-in biosphere created for terraforming. The planet it was meant to terraform was Mother Earth. The information on lifeforms was not contained within the satellite as data but as living organisms and a functioning ecosystem, which would then be transferred to the target planet. That was the main feature and eccentricity of the satellite. Why did they decide to enact such a seemingly inefficient method? Because, paradoxically, this is also the most logical method. Just collecting more and more components does not make a whole. There will always be a missing component―an unknown. That is what they feared. So what is the perfect method to make sure nothing is missing? Just load up the whole thing all at once.
Story 5
"Merry, I think I've figured it out." "Figured what out?" "I figured out why TORIFUNE left its orbit. It wasn't a bug." "Hmm, was it because the organisms aboard took control of the steering?" "Wow, your intuition's really something else, Merry." The ecosystem and the main system merged organically, inseparably so. Oxygen density, temperature, humidity, nutrients... The organic matter extracted what it needed from the machine, and the machine absorbed its payment in return. The much more pure environment than Earth promoted the evolution of the lifeforms aboard. Eventuating in the wordless machine―the shrine to regain its faith. This cradle of life set off to the Lagrange point between the Earth and the moon. "But who is worshipping at that shrine?" "I'd rather not think about it." Is there some other being that could be considered a human somewhere within this stifling jungle?
