But she shortly grew tired of it. At first, she thought swimming in the sea wouldn't be very ladylike, but out of sheer boredom, she eventually decided to try it. She protected herself against running water and dove in... attracting even more attention. She felt like the saltwater version of Wakasagihime.
That was how the supreme beauty and shining star of the ocean, Flandre Scarlet, created her Last Word. Though, honestly, who wouldn't look on anxiously when a vampire exposes themselves to the danger of sunlight and running water...

Character Analysis
Flandre Scarlet (Vampire’s Sister Prepared For Sunlight) was released on May 11th 2023 on "Epic Prayer: Summer Sunscreen Style." For more up-to-date analysis, be sure to visit the Official Discord Server.
With a pair of vampire sisters hailing from the Scarlet Devil Mansion coming to soak up the sunlight, it’s very perplexing as to how and why they are even deciding to be in this world of eternal summer. While the older sister has issues with her wings catching fire, Flandre Scarlet, her younger sister, might just be more suited to handle the intense sun rays thanks to her exceptional sunscreen quantity at her disposal. Which Scarlet Sister will win the popularity contest in this carefree world? While it may be close, being able to quadruple down on her huge skincare stock will definitely help Flandre, especially from an adaptation perspective.
C3 Flandre Scarlet is a Debuff-Class Friend who brings huge Freeze anomaly utility, raw attack power and of course, a myriad of stat debuffs including Accuracy, Evasion, CRIT Evasion, CRIT DEF, Yin DEF and the elusive Yin DEF II.

- Increases the team’s CRIT ATK when Grazing.
- Increases the team’s Agility when Boosting.
- Large quantity of Killers, including Older Sister, Mistress, Summer and Swimsuit.
- Takes advantage of both Hard and Slice Scaling, moreso the former.
As a Utility
- Immense access to Freeze anomaly utility, with them easily being inflicted and broken.
- Can break Burn anomalies via Spell Card and Last Word.

Story Card Recommendations
(Card recommendations last updated on July 12, 2023)
Spell Card
C3 Flandre Scarlet doesn’t have to worry about Spirit Power too much in general to the point she can afford to double down more on Spirit Power support via cards like Dancers Take the Stage and Myouren Temple Anniversary, the latter also having a boost in Star bullets. If you need to bring up C3 Flandre’s Yin ATK, Overwhelming Firepower never disappoints. If you’re more worried about CRIT ATK, make sure you still have some copies of Miracle Mallet lying around. For those who have been around since before 2023 though, New Year’s Shrine Visit VI is actually a fantastic option too, given how it buffs both CRIT ATK and Yin ATK for 3 whole turns! Finally, for raw Spell Card power, go for Puppeteer and Necromancer and Tropico-Fantasia on the 1st and 2nd respective Spell Cards.
Last Word
Move over Tropico Fantasia, as Divergent Spirits EX becomes the new Water + Liquid powerhouse, increasing both by 50% and 40% respectively while also granting a slight Yin ATK buff for Debuff units like C3 Flandre! That said, the aforementioned Tropico Fantasia is still a very amazing choice, buffing both by 40% and 25% while also increasing the team’s barrier count by 2. For some options that provide a 50% boost in Liquid, both Resort Stars and Beach Sanshoku Geidontei are great too! And finally, if you are running out of available options, you can make do with the 40% Water boosting card in the form of My Favorites.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
For Skills, let’s prioritize the final skill, Invigorating Shampoo first. Those Freeze anomalies, Spirit Power and that slight cooldown reduction is extremely important here. Next up will be middle skill, Cooling Moisturizer to help C3 Flandre easily reach 3.00 Spirit Power by herself on Turn 1, while also providing a bit of Spirit Power support and Yin DEF debuff potential. And last but not least is the still very handy Cleansing Body Wash, with team-wide Accuracy as well as the CRIT DEF and CRIT Evasion of enemies to work with.
Character Strengths
Great Debuff Potential
We expect nothing less from a Debuff friend, the stats of her enemies go down a lot, whether it’s something as situational as Accuracy and CRIT Evasion, to the more beneficial Evasion, CRIT DEF, Yin DEF, and most importantly, Skill 3’s Yin DEF II, making C3 Flandre the first friend in the game to use a Rank II debuff! Enemies will definitely have their guard down with this one of a kind vampire preparing to win everyone over.
Style, Sunscreen, Spirit and Support
Surprisingly enough, C3 Flandre has what it takes to give her fellow teammates a leg up with all kinds of buffs, even if some aren’t long-lasting. These can include Yin ATK, CRIT ATK, Agility and Spirit Power, which are all helpful in one way or another. The Spirit Power in question was already abundant for C3 Flandre herself, so having a Skill that gives some out to allies is never a bad thing.
Foes Frozen by Flandre
Keeping cool under the sunlight, C3 Flandre is able to accompany her existing Water and Star breaks with a colossal amount of Freeze anomalies right off the bat, with her third Skill inflicting 5 layers of it on all her enemies. With both her All-Targeting Spell Card and Last Word inflicting 2 layers of Freeze, you’ll find most enemies will end up being fully broken very quickly, just by this icy display. To break these anomalies, look to her Focus Shot, Spell Card and Last Word.
Character Weaknesses
Killers Have Their Limits
C3 Flandre may have all kinds of Killers, but unfortunately, you can’t always promise they will hit a specific enemy. With Older Sister, Mistress, Sun, Swimsuit, Summer and Aquatic, as well as all kinds of location-themed Killers, these still don’t cover as much as ones like Youkai and Gensokyo sadly. If they are able to land, the result will be great, but if not, it might not be the most satisfying time when using Spell Cards or her Last Word.
