Character Analysis
Reimu Hakurei (C3) was released on November 11, 2022 in Epic Prayer “Leisurely Shrine Maiden of Paradise”.
Aloha! Hailing from a drowned world that decided to just go with the flow, This variant of Reimu only wants to party away through the endless Gensokyo summer. Nevermind that the Hakurei Shrine has sunk deep into the ocean waters; Reimu is content to spend her days playing games featuring her modified Yin Yang Beach Ball to her heart’s content as a Speed-class Friend that’s ready to rumble!
As an Attacker
- Incredibly high base Yang ATK and Agility stats to throw into Slicing
- Every bullet line features either Water or Wood breaks, skewing heavily towards Water.
- 0P Water break on both Spread and Focus Shot
- Self supply of Yang ATK, Agility, Accuracy
- Huge source of Spirit P through Skills, Spell Cards and Passives allows Reimu to forego Spirit P UP Story Cards on kit
- Multiple sources of Youkai Killer
- Deals 30% more damage if the enemy is vulnerable to Water or Wood.
As an Offensive Support
- Team wide boosts for Agility through Boosts, Graze, Skills
- Debuffs enemy Yang DEF, Crit DEF and Crit EVA through Spell Cards
- Requires support via teammates or Story Cards to extend her Yang ATK outside of her own Focus Shot or Last Word.
As a Defensive Support and Tank
- Boosts team Evasion through Spell Cards and Skills
- Barrier recovery through Skill
- Takes 35% less damage from Youkai
- Immune to Burn, Paralyze and Freeze, gaining 0.2 Spirit P per stack instead
- Synergizes by inflicting Paralyze and Freeze on herself via her second Spell Card and her third Skill
As a Utility
- Low cooldown on all Skills, with her 3rd Skill resetting each turn
- Is able to apply Freeze via Shots (Solo) and Spell Cards (ALL)
- Can break Freeze and Paralyze barriers via Shots and Spell Cards
- 100% chance to Stun a single enemy on 3P with her Focus Shot which she can easily get off first due to her high Agility stat and buffs
Story Card Recommendations
(Card recommendations last updated on September 13, 2023)
Spell Card
With her monstrous Spirit P gain from various sources on her kit, players can choose to forego the usual recommendation of 2 Spirit P gain cards with the more modest Frozen-Over Gensokyo which also boosts the output of her Spell Cards by 35%. Being a Speed-type Friend, Reimu can also help boost her team’s Accuracy through Ability Cards?, which also boosts her own Agility by 3 Levels, helping her achieve the pinnacle of Slicing damage. For a pure boost to offensive capabilities, go instead with Resort Stars for a 50% boost to Spell Card damage and 2 levels of Yang ATK that carry over to the next turn for big setup damage.
Last Word
Her Last Word being 100% Liquid means that Resort Stars takes the cake when it comes to laying down the hurt with her strange new Yin Yang Beach Ball that blasts opponents out of the stage like the thrill feature in a waterpark. For a utility option favoring a longer battle, consider Tropico Fantasia which boosts Water and Liquid damage, while also recovering 2 party Barriers.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
Go with her first skill, Beach Volleyball Rule for a boost to her Accuracy and providing the team Spirit P and Agility to open up their options. Getting her second skill, Beach Soccer Rule up to par will allow her to hit 2 Spirit P on turn 1, greatly improving her output from the get go while also providing defensive options to her and her team via Barrier recovery and Evasion UP. Unlock her full meme potential with her last skill, New Beach Sport which boosts Agility and Yang ATK every turn while also inflicting 2 layers of Freeze on her entire party. Best paired with friends who benefit from this Anomaly such as Yuyuko (R2) and Reimu (F1).
Character Strengths
Amazing Wood and Water breaks, with 0P Water break on both Shots
Every bullet from this beachside shrine maiden features either Wood or Water elements, meaning you’ll have breaks for days. Couple this with her 0P Water breaks of both shots and you have a super soaker that any kid would love to get from the Patron Saint of Learning for Xmas!
Great Base Stats can go Towards High Slice Damage
C3 Reimu is naturally endowed with big guns, with a staggering 1940 Yang ATK and 1560 Agility at max. This works perfectly with a full Yang kit and strong Slice values especially on her Last Word!
Powerful and Non-Stop Yang ATK and Agility Support
C3 Reimu’s multiple sources of team enhancements culminates in a crazy 1 Turn Cooldown on Skill 3, which constantly boosts Yang ATK and Agility for her entire team.
Great Utility via Anomaly Breaks and Stun
C3 Reimu can break Freeze and Paralyze anomalies with her attacks, as well as guarantee a stun on a single enemy with a 3P Focus Shot.
Character Weaknesses
Some Buffs will Freeze Allies
Her zealous dedication to gaming leaves her allies in the dust, inflicting Freeze barriers on them alongside other positive buffs. This can be turned around with a team that synergizes with Freeze anomalies instead!.
