Character Analysis
Eiki Shiki, Yamazanadu was released on April 28th, 2022 in Festival: Right or Wrong or Doggo?.
Eiki Shiki, Yamazanadu is a Yama who has the ability to judge all beings and determine if they are good or evil. As a Judge of the Dead, she can decide if the being will end up going to Heaven, Hell, the Netherworld, or live another life. Eiki is notorious for her lectures pointing out somebody’s faults, although it’s unknown what her motives are in terms of this. Eiki will sometimes be unable to make the most of her work schedule due to the shortcomings of her subordinate, Komachi Onozuka, who is also not immune to Eiki’s lecturings. In Touhou LostWord though, her lecturing pays off and nets her a spot as an A Tier Friend.
For farming, Eiki is decent enough at the job. Her Last Word, Age of Revelation, does good damage overall. Since Eiki only reaches P2 on T1, taking a turn to set up gives this attack even more power. For story card farming, Eiki can farm 3-3-3 at 12 SP and 3-6-3 at 12 SP.
Eiki is a selfish nuker in challenging content. Her 1st skill, Stand-By Lecturer, provides her with 0.80 P and charge. Her 2nd skill, Rod of Remorse, gives 3 stages of Yang ATK up and 2 stages of Yin ATK to herself for 3 turns. Finally, her 3rd skill, Cleansed Crystal Mirror, gives her 0.8 P, 3 stages of Yang DEF, and 2 stages of Yang ATK for 1 turn. As such, Eiki doesn’t really provide the team much utility with her skills, instead opting to make herself hit harder. As for her 1st Spell Card, Judgement: Last Judgement, Eiki inflicts 3 layers of Blind anomalies to one enemy while increasing her own Yang DEF by 2 stages for 2 turns. Her 2nd spell card, Judgement: Guilty or Not Guilty, is her only source of utility providing the team with 2 stages of Accuracy and Agility for 2 turns.
Eiki’s ability to break barriers is about average as well. With a P0 elemental shot on her spread shot, Charge of Virtue, Eiki has average break access to Fire with 3 breaks on her 1st Spell Card, 3 Sun Breaks on her 2nd Spell Card, and 3 Sun and Fire breaks on her Last Word. While she can be used to supplement blind breaks with her 1st Spell Card, ultimately they are just about average.
While Eiki may not be one of the best, she is absolutely a character that can get the job done in battles. She doesn’t necessarily help her teammates much, but she does her job well enough for most people to be satisfied. Just be prepared for a good lecture from time to time with this Yama.
Here are the relevant scalings and secondary effects which Eiki has:
Spread shot:
Target Evasion DOWN (3T): 30%/0%/40%/0%/0%/0%
1st Spell Card:
Blind inflict (3T): 0%/40%/0%/0%/0%/0%
Hard Scaling: 80%/80%/0%/0%/0%/0%
2nd Spell Card:

Last Word:
Hard Scaling: 60%/70%/0%/90%/100%/0%
Story Card Recommendations
Spell Card
Spirit Power up is universally applicable. Thus, something like The Witch of Scarlet Dreams would always be appreciated by characters like Eiki. On the other hand, you can boost her Yang ATK with a story card like Good or Evil or something which can also boost her Yang DEF like Waiting in Comfort. Finally, to augment her damage, use stat filler with Yang ATK, preferring story cards with Yang DEF.
Last Word
In terms of damage especially when set up, Eiki wants to equip Eating Contest as all of her bullets are Body bullets. Alternatively, instead of Eating Contest, Mega Flare can be used to help boost her damage. On the other hand, if you want to use her for T1 farming, Accuracy up provide more consistent damage. Mysterious Sword Master is one such example but you can use any other alternative like Valued Tools of the Trade.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
Eiki wants her 3rd skill, Cleansed Crystal Mirror, leveled up first as it provides her with the most amount of benefit by letting her reach P2 on T1 and giving her Yang ATK and Yang DEF to help boost her Last Word’s damage. Afterwards, her 2nd skill, Rod of Remorse, should be maxed to help augment her damage even further with more Yang ATK. Finally, her 1st skill, Stand-By Lecturer, can be leveled to help augment Eiki’s power generation.
Character Strengths
+ 0P Fire on Spread Shot
+ Good P gen with her skills
+ Average breaks
Character Weaknesses
- Little utility to speak of
- Spellcards need both Yin and Yang to make the most of their damage output.
- Damage, while decent, still doesn’t compare to the top end of nukers
