Perhaps Tojiko occasionally reminisces about the time long ago when she was still corporeal and lived alongside Miko and Futo. She might also reflect on how fortunate she is to still be with them today.

Character Analysis
Soga no Tojiko was released on October 20, 2022 in Prayer “Saint, Shock & Feng Shui Festival”.
Little is truly known about the vengeful spirit, Soga no Tojiko. Residing in the Hall of Dreams' Great Mausoleum, she serves her master, Toyosatomimi no Miko alongside Mononobe no Futo, guarding the inner sanctum from intruders. Her ability to wield thunder as a weapon manifests in Touhou LostWord as an electrifying DEST Friend that’s ready to rumble alongside her newest master.
Despite her role as one of Prince Shotoku’s servants, Tojiko is a very self-serving Friend. Her first two skills increase her own Crit ACC and her Yin ATK, while also inflicting 2 Paralysis anomalies on herself, synergizing with her ability to gain one stack of Yang ATK, Yin ATK, Crit ATK and Crit ACC per Paralysis barrier she holds, while being immune to the effects of Paralysis. Her Last Word also provides herself with further buffs, increasing her Yin ATK further while also injecting more Paralysis into her barriers so she can go out with a bang.
She has some minor team support on her third Skill, which boosts ally Crit ATK by 2 levels while also, you guessed it, imbibing herself with Paralysis (2 barriers). Her first Spell Card boosts ally Crit ACC instead as a pre-attack effect. Just make sure not to fire it when using her second Skill as that also provides her with Charge, ensuring she goes last among her peers in the same class of attack.
Element-wise, Tojiko offers some decent Wood and Moon breaks. Both her first and second Spell Cards hit ALL enemies, dealing 3 Wood and 2 Moon worth of Element damage reach. As is par for the course for most AoE hitters, her Last Word is a Single Target nuke, landing 3 Wood and 3 Moon breaks on one unlucky opponent. It is worth noting that both her Spread and Focus shots can hit Single Target Elements at P0, with the former breaking Wood while the latter breaks Moon.
In terms of anomaly support, Tojiko can also inflict 2 barriers of Paralysis on all enemies with her second Spell Card. While she is unable to break them herself, this lends to a match where you may wish to watch as your enemies flail around with random Stuns hitting them, or better, bring an Anomaly breaker like Iku Nagae or Mysterious Sword Master, Youmu Konpaku to erase those barriers for you! Incidentally, the other Lightning-related Friend also hits Moon and Wood, making Iku a fine Friend to bring along as a companion for the thunderous spirit.
Conspicuously absent from her kit are Accuracy and Spirit P boosts, meaning she will require Story Cards to help her boost those stats, or Friends who can support her in that way. Be sure to pack wisely when bringing her into firefights!
Story Card Recommendations
(Card recommendations last updated on October 20, 2022)
Spell Card
Most crucial to Tojiko’s functionality is fixing her lack of accuracy, especially on deeper bullet lines in her attacks. This makes both Valued Tools of the Trade and Shichi-Go-San School Visit a handy choice to have around. Her low Accuracy stat means that she would require for Valued Tools of the Trade to be Max Limit Broken to be fully accurate, or to inflict Paralysis on her enemies from the beginning. Midnight Tea can then supplement her kit with Spirit P while provide Yin ATK stats to boost her damage
Last Word
With her Last Word consisting fully of Laser bullets and being Single target only, Anniversary at the SDM is uniquely positioned to be one of her best cards to play at any given moment, reducing both a target’s Yin DEF while boosting Laser damage by 25% Should you have enough levels of Yin ATK at your disposal, Unmoving Great Library boosts both her Moon lines as well as Laser damage. Occult Circle is also a fine substitute, being an easy card to farm that boosts Laser damage.
Character Skill Level Up Recommendations
Go with Tojiko’s second skill, Thunderous Roar for the Yin ATK boost and Charge to help her obtain more boosts from allies in battle. Her third skill, Lightning Summon can come next for team Crit ATK up and 2 Paralysis barriers for herself to wield for a variety of buffs. Finally, spend books on her first skill, Induced Lightning to help with her Crit ACC and give herself another 2 Paralysis barriers to complete her loadout
Character Strengths
+ Decent Wood and Moon breaks that hit AoE on up to 4 Spell Cards
+ 0P breaks on both Spread and Focus Shot
Character Weaknesses
- Requires Accuracy and Spirit P support
- Heavily backloaded
- Selfish attacker with low utility
