Introduction

Hi friends! Are you hungry for more Main Story content? Or perhaps you don’t think the current daily missions are giving you quite enough materials? Luckily, the Extra stage for Chapter 1 is here for you! In Space War for Two, you and Reisen are about to go on one heck of a journey. Don’t know what an Extra stage is? Read on to find out!

About Extra Story

“Extra” Story stages are available from the Main search, from within their respective Chapter submenus - in EX1’s case, you can access it from Chapter 1: Gensokyo Isle. You access them through a separate EXTRA button, on the bottom left of the screen.

Like Main stages, EXTRA has three different difficulties. However, these stages start off harder than even Lunatic for chapter 1, so you’ll want to come prepared with your most powerful All attackers. Additionally, enemies on Hard will start to buff their own defenses, and on Lunatic or above they will also begin to buff their own offenses. Lastly, all stages are 3 Waves with 3 Enemies each. As a result, the best way to handle these stages is to just blitz them down with 3 powerful All targeting Last Words.

Unlike other Main stages, you can only challenge this mode three times per day. You can challenge the same stage three times per day, or three different stages once each, etc. These attempts are shared between difficulties. If you get a Game Over or quit, an attempt is not consumed - you only consume an attempt upon successful stage completion.

Rewards

The fact you can only do Extra 3 times a day is because the rewards are pretty good! Every stage will give you 3 Books, 3 Tiles, and 3 Scrolls, of a fixed type based on the stage. Normal and Hard can drop Bronze, Silver, or Gold materials - Lunatic will only drop Silver or Gold.

The way that drops work is that the type of Book, Tile, and Scroll a stage drops changes in a sequential, looping order. Books drop in Attack> Defense>Support order, Tiles drop in Plum>Orchid>Chrysanthemum>Bamboo order, and Scrolls drop in  Heaven>Earth>Wind>Cloud>Dragon>Tiger>Phoenix>Serpent order. So for example, stage 1 will drop Attack Books, Plum Tiles, and Heaven scrolls, whilst stage 8 will drop Defense Books, Bamboo Tiles, and Serpent Scrolls.
