Introduction

Hi Friends! This time around, on the Scarlet Devil Tower, the gimmick is that there are absolutely no generic enemies whatsoever! It’s just groups of enemies - all with a spell gauge! Additionally, all generic enemies consist of: One enemy who raises their Evasion and CRIT Evasion, one who lowers the Accuracy and CRIT Accuracy of one enemy, and one who gives two layers of Darkness barriers to all enemies for 2 turns and gives all allies Quick. Make sure to get some Accuracy ready, and go plunder those tower floors for their sweet, sweet loot - including a Divine Doll on floor 50!

This is a guide to floors 41 through 50 of the Scarlet Devil Tower. If you’re looking for an overview of  how the Tower works, click here. To return to the floor index, click here.

Enemy HP Weak To Resists Barriers Spell Gauge Skills
Byakuren Hijiri 348800 Moon, Water Wood, Star 5 1 Increases own Evasion & CRIT Evasion by 3 levels for 1 turn
Kanako Yasaka 351200 Moon, Fire Earth, Star 5 1 Reduces the Accuracy & CRIT Accuracy of one target by 2 levels for 1 turn
Yukari Yakumo 346650 Moon, Wood Fire, Star 5 1 Inflict all enemies with 2 layers of Darkness barriers for 2 turns & Grant Quick to all allies.

Every generic enemy floor is the same as this one: three foes with spell gauges of 1 to make it impossible to stall, alongside some nasty evasion shenanigans due to one enemy packing self Evasion up and another inflicting 2 layers of Darkness to all your units. Make sure to come prepared with more accuracy than normal. It may also be extremely difficult to stall them out.

For this floor in particular, Moon attacks are particularly potent, as all three enemies are weak to them.

I suppose all three of these women could be considered ‘moms.’ Better hope they don’t run across their ‘daughters’ on the way up - the embarrassment from the mom brigade might knock them cold out.

Enemy HP Weak To Resists Barriers Spell Gauge Skills
Yuyuko Saigyouji 355600 Earth, Star Sun, Metal 5 1 Increases own Evasion & CRIT Evasion by 3 levels for 1 turn
Suwako Moriya 368200 Wood, Star Sun, Fire 5 1 Reduces the Accuracy & CRIT Accuracy of one target by 2 levels for 1 turn
Nemuno Sakata 356100 Sun, Water Moon, Wood 5 1 Inflict all enemies with 2 layers of Darkness barriers for 2 turns & Grant Quick to all allies.

For this floor, try to bring some Star, as both Yuyuko and Suwako are weak to it. Inversely, even though Nemuno is weak to Sun, bring it only for breaks and not for damage due to Yuyuko and Suwako resisting it.

If the previous floor was the mom brigade, is the floor the grandmother squad…?

Joon Yorigami 364200 Sun, Water Moon, Wood 5 1 Increases own Evasion & CRIT Evasion by 3 levels for 1 turn
Marisa Kirisame 372600 Sun, Earth Moon, Metal 5 1 Reduces the Accuracy & CRIT Accuracy of one target by 2 levels for 1 turn
Youmu Konpaku 367800 Sun, Fire Moon, Earth 5 1 Inflict all enemies with 2 layers of Darkness barriers for 2 turns & Grant Quick to all allies.

For this floor, Sun’s indisputably the best element to bring, as all three foes are weak to it. Inversely, try to avoid Moon, as all three enemies resist it.

Seems Joon’s managed to convince Marisa and Youmu to go on a hunt for wealth with her. They’re both kind of greedy, so it’s not surprising...

Enemy HP Weak To Resists Barriers Spell Gauge Skills
Alice Margatroid 371900 Metal, Star Sun, Water 5 1 Increases own Evasion & CRIT Evasion by 3 levels for 1 turn
Yatsuhashi Tsukumo 384600 Sun, Metal Moon, Water 5 1 Reduces the Accuracy & CRIT Accuracy of one target by 2 levels for 1 turn
Medicine Melancholy 373500 Moon, Metal Water, Star 5 1 Inflict all enemies with 2 layers of Darkness barriers for 2 turns & Grant Quick to all allies.

All enemies here are weak to Metal, so bring it for some devastating Breaks or damage. They also all resist Water, so avoid bringing any at all costs, you can stay hydrated later.

Perhaps this Alice’s expanding her interests beyond simply dolls, and moving onto tsukumogami as a whole? Maybe the Alice of that world has an affinity for tools in general.

Enemy HP Weak To Resists Barriers Spell Gauge Skills
Sunny Milk 602000 Moon, Water Wood, Star 6 1 Skill 1: Grants all allies 3 levels of CRIT Evasion DOWN for 1 turn & raises own CRIT Accuracy by 6 levels for 1 turn. Skill 2: Grants all allies 3 levels of CRIT DEF DOWN for 1 turn & raises own CRIT ATK by 6 levels for 1 turn
Luna Child 584800 Earth, Star Sun, Metal 6 1 Skill 1: Grants all allies 3 levels of All resistance & CRIT Evasion for 2 turns. Skill 2: Raises own All resistance by 5 levels & Evasion by 4 levels for 2 turns.
Star Sapphire 588320 Sun, Metal Moon, Water 6 1 Skill 1: Lowers the Yin & Yang ATK of one enemy by 5 levels for 2 turns. Skill 2: Lowers the Yin & Yang DEF of one enemy by 5 levels for 2 turns.

For this floor, Luna Child is definitely the biggest problem - half the time that she uses a skill, she boosts the All resistance of every enemy, and the other half of the time she makes herself extremely difficult to kill. Try to take her out as soon as possible. Outside of that, Star Sapphire can be a headache due to the devastating nature of one of her skills - applying 5 Levels of ATK DOWN at the wrong time to the wrong attacker can potentially force you to have to restart the fight. Sunny Milk, in spite of her abundance of self CRIT ATK & Accuracy UP, is mostly inoffensive by comparison and can be saved for last.

It’s really impressive how the three fairies of light managed to make it this far. I wonder if they know martial arts like the fairies of the world of chapter 3?

Enemy HP Weak To Resists Barriers Spell Gauge Skills
Chen 361200 Sun, Water Moon, Wood 5 1 Increases own Evasion & CRIT Evasion by 3 levels for 1 turn
Benben Tsukumo 400800 Metal, Star Sun, Water 5 1 Reduces the Accuracy & CRIT Accuracy of one target by 2 levels for 1 turn
Aya Shameimaru 380230 Metal, Star Sun, Water 5 1 Inflict all enemies with 2 layers of Darkness barriers for 2 turns & Grant Quick to all allies.

Due to the shared weakness of Star and Metal for Benben and Aya, both are fantastic elements to bring here.

What kind of odd world must they be from that Aya, Chen, and Benben are climbing the tower together? It must be the scoop of the lifetime - but I bet Aya won’t let the cat out of the bag, she’s always Benben hesitant to share her scoops before they’re published.

Koakuma 399900 Sun, Fire Moon, Star 5 1 Increases own Evasion & CRIT Evasion by 3 levels for 1 turn
Tewi Inaba 377700 Sun, Metal Moon, Water 5 1 Reduces the Accuracy & CRIT Accuracy of one target by 2 levels for 1 turn
Seiran 366600 Metal, Star Sun, Water 5 1 Inflict all enemies with 2 layers of Darkness barriers for 2 turns & Grant Quick to all allies.

Sun and Metal are extremely useful to bring here, due to the shared weaknesses - likewise, avoid Water and Moon, as they’re resisted by two foes.

Rabbits and devils getting along - I shudder to imagine the chaos that must ensue on the world these three are from. Just imagine what sorts of pranks and mischief they get up to, with the power of delivery and bunnies combined…

Enemy HP Weak To Resists Barriers Spell Gauge Skills
Lily White 410200 Moon, Metal Water, Star 5 1 Increases own Evasion & CRIT Evasion by 3 levels for 1 turn
Lunasa Prismriver 396700 Metal, Star Sun, Water 5 1 Reduces the Accuracy & CRIT Accuracy of one target by 2 levels for 1 turn
Minoriko Aki 405500 Sun, Fire Moon, Earth 5 1 Inflict all enemies with 2 layers of Darkness barriers for 2 turns & Grant Quick to all allies.

Due to Lunasa and Lily both being weak to Metal, it’s a great element to bring - likewise, since they both resist Water, you may wish to avoid it.

A fairy, a phantom, and a harvest goddess walk into a bar. The bartender asks, why the long face? The fairy says, it isn’t spring yet. The harvest goddess pounds her fist on the table and says good, and the phantom sighs and wonders why she agreed to this.

There is no joke here, Gensokyo’s inhabitants are just all alcoholics and seriously need an intervention.

Enemy HP Weak To Resists Barriers Spell Gauge Skills
Kosuzu Motoori 382200 Sun, Metal Moon, Water 5 1 Increases own Evasion & CRIT Evasion by 3 levels for 1 turn
Yuugi Hoshiguma 443000 Sun, Fire Moon, Earth 5 1 Reduces the Accuracy & CRIT Accuracy of one target by 2 levels for 1 turn
Cirno 385700 Sun, Earth Moon, Metal 5 1 Inflict all enemies with 2 layers of Darkness barriers for 2 turns & Grant Quick to all allies.

Since all enemies are weak to the light of the Sun, bring it! Likewise, shun the Moon, as all foes resist it.

Kosuzu here must be looking for some strength training. With the help of the strongest fairy and one of the four devas of the mountain, I bet she’ll bulk up in no time. If their training doesn’t knock her out first, that is...

Oh, don't know who Yuugi is? Don't worry, we'll have the details on her as soon as she comes out! Suffice to say for now, she's a really strong Oni who's a part of the "Big Four of the Mountain," a group of real powerful Oni that Kasen Ibaraki also once belonged to.

Enemy HP Weak To Resists Barriers Spell Gauge Skills
Flandre Scarlet 630000 Sun, Water, Wood Moon, Metal, Star 6 1 None
Remilia Scarlet 650000 Sun, Fire, Metal Moon, Earth, Star 6 1 Skill 1: Inflicts 2 layers of Darkness Barirers to all foes. Grants 1 Barrier to all allies. Skill 2: Lowers the Speed and Evasion of all foes by 4 levels for 3 turns. EX Attack: Bans the use of Spell Cards for all enemies for 5 turns.
Sakuya Izayoi 550000 Fire, Star Sun, Earth 6 1 Skill 1: Gives all allies 4 levels of All resistance & Accuracy UP for 2 Turns. Skill 2: Grants Quick to all allies & reduces damage recieved from Sun Element attacks for all allies by 35% for 2 turns. Skill 3: Gives all allies 4 levels of Solo resistance for 2 turns and lowers the Yang ATK of all foes by 4 levels for 2 turns.

The final boss floor for this stretch of the tower is a doozy. First of all, go into this fight assuming you will have to swap and will not be able to use your backrow for five turns - Remilia’s EX Attack is unusually devastating, due to the reliance most characters have on their Spell Cards. After that, unfortunately you’re stuck in a rather awkward spot between Remilia and Sakuya. Remilia can inflict your entire team with nasty Darkness barriers to nuke your Accuracy as well as restore a barrier to the entire team - however, Sakuya can randomly boost either their Solo or All resistance, which may keep you from trying to focus fire either her or Remilia down.

As a result, it may be worth it to just re-attempt this fight until Sakuya gives you a favorable set of skills used - or just outright Full Break the entire enemy team at the same time. Good elements for this fight are Sun and Fire, due to the shared weaknesses - just watch out for Sakuya both resisting Sun and lowering the damage it does by 35% with her second skill (if it activates). Avoid both Moon and Star if you can help it, outside of using Star to Break Sakuya, as both Remilia and Flandre resist those two elements.

Goodness, what is this, the third time Sakuya’s shown up in the Scarlet Devil Tower? They really are not paying her enough for all these appearances. Or perhaps there’s just many poor Sakuyas across all the worlds sent on behalf of their mistresses to attempt to conquer this tower.
