Should You Pull?

Yes. L80 Remilia Scarlet introduces the new type of Friend: Relic Friends. Being based off of the multiple LostWord Music Video (MV) Collaboration projects that have been releases ever since the launch of LostWord Global, they are victims to their own Lost Words. Instead of sulking for long, however, they have decided to fight for whoever prays for them, being even more powerful than ever.

When it comes to L80 Remilia herself, she just has everything that you could really want from a Friend by themselves. Her whole kit, both spells and skills, are filled with party support via partywide buffs or All-target debuffs. On top of that, Spirit Power restoration is a non-issue thanks to the 2.00 Spirit Power from her second skill and ability to produce 0.35 Spirit Power each turn from her third characteristic. Her elements on her spells cover a wide range of elements, but her 0P Moon Focus shot and fully Moon Last Word make her a great threat to Moon foes. There's really not much that can go wrong with picking Remilia for most challenging content.

It also helps that Remilia managed to sneak in while there was little to no competition. With F1 Reimu Hakurei out of the picture, she really only has to co-run with B2 Junko, Misumaru Tamatsukuri and Takane Yamashiro, and well as the featured Friends of Princess Joon the Chivalrous Phantom Thief. The only valued Friend on the Joon event prayer is Hecatia Lapizlazuli and maybe Yachie Kicchou. While Junko can definitely be a great Friend as well, L80 Remilia easily trumps her prayer endurance, as she is only leaving on August 5th compared to Junko's July 22nd leave.

As the first Relic Friend, the new standards that Remilia offers are as follows: instead of the usual Exchange Point requirements, L80 Remilia Scarlet will cost 350 Exchange Points to exchange for. In addition, instead of using any other type of paper doll to limit break her, she requires duplicates or Relic Paper Disks, the latter of which can currently be found in the Fortune Dust Exchange Shop at the price of 400 dust.

Quick Overview

+ 0P All-target Moon Focus shot
+ Amazing T1 damage with a Moon-only Last Word
+ Good barrier breaks with burn anomaly breaks and some decent access to other elements.
+ Great support with her skills and spell cards for both yin and yang nukers
- Self-inflicting anomalies make her barrier usage somewhat awkward to utilize
- Long skill durations may come as a problem in multi wave stages

Remilia Scarlet (The Heat of my Fingertips)

For farming, Remilia is one of the best characters in the game, being able to farm every story card stage by herself. She buffs herself enormously with her skills and spellcard effects, in addition to having an optimal story card The Heat of My Fingertips which offers an unprecedented 95% damage boost to her Last Word, Scarlet Sisters.

Challenging content wise, Remilia does hold the ability to support the team with either a good amount of barrier breaks with her 2nd Spell Card, Scarlet Devil Mansion: Spirit Magician & Little Familiar, as it can inflict burn barriers as well as break them. Alternatively, she can support the team with her skills. With her 1st skill, Lady Nosferatu, and her 3rd skill, No-Life Princess, she can support the team by giving them a mix of both Yin and Yang ATK buffs while inflicting defense debuffs to all her foes. Her 2nd skill, Draculoid Girl, provides her with 3 P on the first turn as well as provides her Quick. With Quick, she can use this to support the team even further with her Last Word which provides the team with even more buffs. The only bad thing that Remilia would have are the cooldown durations of her skills. With the long duration of her skills, this is less of a problem and more of a nuisance for multi wave stages.

Barrier breaks wise, Remilia is a mixed bag. With a P0 Moon shot on her focus, both her spell cards differ in terms of what they are meant to break. With her 1st Spell Card, she has a spread of 3 Metal and 3 Star breaks. The Metal breaks are easier to make use of, as they require fewer boosts to unleash. However, her P generation with her spell card can compensate for the number of boosts needed to fire off star breaks, to an extent. Her 2nd Spell card has a spread of 2 Fire, 2 Water, and 2 Moon breaks. While the spread elements aren't as good as her other attacks, it has strong breaking potential by breaking the plentiful burn barriers she inflicts. Finally, her Last Word has a spread of 6 Moon breaks which can come useful in content where Spell Card bombs are more prevalent.

Ultimately, Remilia is a team supporter who also can do a substantial amount of damage by herself. While she may have lost her ability and everything, she will fight to regain what she has lost.
