Should You Pull?

Yes. E9 Remilia is simply an excellent all around unit; amazing CRIT and Yin support, inflicts a large amount of poison barrier status, has the most combined Fire and Moon breaks in the game, does incredible damage, and really just excels in all content. The banners running alongside E9 Remilia include Z1 Marisa Kirisame + R2 Yuyuko Saigyouji, A6 Sakuya Izayoi + A9 Aya Shameimaru, and Eiki Shiki + Aunn. If you’re not particularly thrilled with anyone else here, the only real reason not to pull would be if you’re planning to allocate your Divine Paper Dolls elsewhere.

Being an Ultra Festival Friend, this also means E9 Remilia requires 250 Exchange Points to be exchanged for; so if you aren’t particularly well saved up on cubes and don’t want to test your luck, be wary of that. And keeping in line with previous entries, there’s also no God Crystal Step-UP with a new Ultra Festival Friend. However, to slightly sweeten the deal, each God Crystal Pull does provide 2x the Fortune Dust for 20 dust per pull.

Remilia (Tiny Devil Mistress)

Universe E9 Remilia Scarlet, the Tiny Devil Mistress, is still similar to how we know her in more familiar Universes; she is the head of the Scarlet Devil Mansion and the older sister of Flandre Scarlet, but things aren't quite right in this specific rendition of the mansion. Although Meiling still guards the gate, Koakuma still tends to the library, and Patchouli still studies endlessly, Sakuya is nowhere to be found, and there's an air of unease in just being there. Remilia is still incredibly strong, and her ability, "to manipulate fate", is still intact in this version of her, but will it be enough to protect the Mansion itself and her family in it?

E9 Remilia’s kit already starts off strong, with her Spread Shot, Demon Lord’s Cradle, having Moon break and chance to inflict Poison on 0P. It also has Sure-Hit, which makes its Spirit P gain very nice and consistent. Upon Boost, it can gain 1 Fire break at 2P and 1 more Moon break at 3P, as well as CRIT ATK UP, Hard scaling, and more Poison chance at 2P and beyond. Her Focus Shot, Demon Lord Arrow, may seem less impressive at a glance, with no element break on 0P, however it has Hard scaling from the get-go as well as the chance to raise YIN ATK and/or DEF by 1. And on top of that, it has anti-Gensokyo Killer, which means she’s guaranteed to inflict a crit on a large percentage of Friends in the game; and this is all at 0P. Then at 3P, it gains a chance to inflict Stun, which will completely pass the target’s turn if it lands.

Then as for E9 Remilia’s Spell Cards, they certainly aren’t lacking either; there’s a lot going on here. With her incredible Killer bullets all around, ranging from anti-Human, Youkai, Gods and Gensokyo, she’s going to be guaranteed critting well over half of the Friends in the game with any given Spell Card or Last Word, making her reliance on Crits for damage well worth it. Her Spell Card 1, God’s Punishment: Young Demon Lord, is AoE, with 2 Moon and 2 Fire breaks, which has the pre-attack effect of Yin DEF 2 levels UP (3 turns) party-wide, and post-attack effect of 2 layers of Poison Barrier Status (2 turns). This allows for a massive application of Poison Barrier Status unlike anyone else, save for Medicine Melancholy, who E9 Remilia synergizes quite well with. E9 Remilia’s Spell Card 2, Scarlet Gensokyo, is Single Target, but it makes up for it by having a full suite of element breaks, with 3 Moon and 3 Fire breaks throughout the whole Spell Card. This Spell Card has the pre-attack effect of Spirit Power 1 UP, which is very nice for her since she’s very Spirit P-hungry, and the post-attack effect of 3 layers of Poison Barrier Status (3 turns), just in case the 2 layers from the first Spell Card wasn’t enough. Then finally, her Last Word, Scarlet Devil Mansion, is AoE, Elastic AND Hard scaling, with full elements, 3 Moon and 3 Fire. It has a ludicrous amount of pre-attack effects, including Yin ATK 3 levels up (3 turns), CRIT ATK 3 levels up (3 turns), and CRIT ACC 2 levels up (3 turns), and on top of that also has anti-Gensokyo, Human, Youkai, God and Doll; it would be more impressive to find someone she wouldn’t crit than the reverse.

E9 Remilia’s Skills have already been covered a bit in previous parts, but to put them simply, they have a little bit of everything for any Yin attacker or defender while also having surprisingly low cooldowns. Her Skill 1, Stamp Magic, Applies self Spirit Power 1.25 UP, Party’s Yin ATK 2 levels UP (2 turns), and Charge to self. Use this skill when you’re about to use her Last Word to make sure she moves last because of Charge so that she can take advantage of every buff and broken barrier beforehand for maximum damage. Her Skill 2, Scarlet Mist Barrier, gives her a little bit of longevity with 1.5 Barrier recharges, as well as more damage and consistency with self CRIT ATK 2 levels UP (2 turns) and all enemies Evasion 2 levels DOWN (2 turns). And lastly, her Skill 3, Fantasy Newcomer, really goes in on the party-wide support, with Spirit P 0.40 UP, CRIT ACC 2 levels UP (3 turns), and Yin ATK 2 levels UP (3 turns), all to all allies.

Overall, it’s hard to pass up E9 Remilia considering her wide array of strengths as a nuker herself and also being some of the best Yin-based support out there (especially considering how common Yang attackers and supports are in comparison). No doubt she will be a welcome addition to any account.
