Stories

Story 1
Sanae Kochiya is a living god who has the ability to cause miracles. She is a shrine maiden of Kanako and a distant descendant of Suwako.
Story 2
Moriya Shrine used to be located outside of Gensokyo. However, they struggled to gather faith there, so Kanako took the risk to enter Gensokyo. Sanae, Kanako, and Suwako had entered Gensokyo along with their shrine. In a sense, they are the most unconventional group in Gensokyo, a place where common sense does not apply.
Story 3
Moriya Shrine's wind priestess and Hakurei Shrine's shrine maiden are both priestesses, so Sanae and Reimu are often compared. Sanae, who presides over the wind and protects crops, plays an internal role. Reimu, who manages the Great Hakurei Barrier that separates Gensokyo from the outside, plays an external role. Therefore, it seems that they do not compete against each other. But this does not seem to be the case when it comes to gathering faith...
Story 4
The two primary species in Gensokyo are humans and youkai. They are friends yet enemies. They are dependent on each other yet also coexist. Some humans are more powerful than youkai, like those who ascended to the level of hermits and celestials and those who transcended the boundaries of species to transform into youkai or divine spirits. To sum up the relationship between the two, it is chaotic and contradicts common sense.
Story 5
Gensokyo is a world of chaos with no common sense. Even in such a place, Sanae Kochiya did not change. She has some strange sensibilities, and she is a little careless. She is honest, pure, and has a strong sense of responsibility. It's good that she could grow accustomed to living here and that Gensokyo accepted her as she is. Kanako and Suwako must have been relieved.
