Stories
Story 1
A doll made by Alice, a magician who uses dolls. The doll shoots bullets during battle and does most of the chores in Alice's daily life. Shanghai has many different skills and is very capable.
Story 2
The doll uses lances and cross-shaped swords to protect and fight for Alice. She even shoots out lasers in Curse Sign: Shanghai Doll.
Story 3
Alice makes her dolls do all the chores like cooking and laundry on top of fighting, but the dolls do not actually move on their own. Alice controls them with invisible magic strings.
Story 4
When Alice shows off her puppetry at festivals, the dolls always seem to enjoy performing. Even if they are dolls, they are also girls, and it must get boring for them just fighting and doing chores all the time.
Story 5
People say that pets are like their owners, but is it the same for dolls? Perhaps dolls do not have emotions of their own, but they seem happy when they feed birds and seem to find chores bothersome too―they might even be more expressive than Alice.
