August 5th, 2019 saw an interesting trailer pop up on YouTube from DevolverDigital, the games publisher better known for smash indie hits like Hotline Miami 1 & 2, Enter the Gungeon, and Shadow Warrior.
Witcheye is a platformer where you play as a witch who has taken the form of a floating eyeball in order to rescue her resources from a thieving knight.
The game was created by Peter Malamud Smith and Charlie Hoey, the former of which created The Great Gatsby for NES, Satellina, and Satellina Zero.
Witcheye's charming pixel graphics and seemingly simple controls, coupled with DevolverDigital's pedigree of great mobile games, this game seems sure to provide a good amount of entertainment.
The game includes over 50 levels, a 30+ track soundtrack, and bonus modes, speedrun features, and a hard mode. No word on a price for the game yet, but judging by the other games released by Devolver, it will not be free to play.
