Your Puzzles are Numbered

A lot of games these days, even otherwise simplistic mobile offerings, are stuffed full of ads, distractions, and other pointless bells and whistles, detracting from the core gameplay experience. The wonderful minimalism of ZHED offers a release from those things, but it doesn't promise your brain is going to appreciate the workout it's about to get. Originally released in 2017, the delightfully sparse number-based (kind of) puzzler is understated to the point of not even featuring a tutorial beyond one (1) instruction in the first level, after which the game never speaks to you again. Probably because, by the time you hit some of the later and more devilish puzzles, it knows full well that you're not in the mood to have a friendly chat. Regardless - no forced ads, no points, no rankings. Just you and those alluring numbers.

Developer Ground Control Studios announced today that ZHED will be heading to Steam, due for an Oct. 16th release.

The game will be on the $1.99 price-range, features original soundtrack, minimalistic design and will ship with a starting batch of 100 levels to play. Additional level packs are slated to be released over time.

You can watch a (fittingly minimalistic) trailer for the PC version of ZHED below.

Alternatively, if you want to pick up the original mobile version of ZHED, you can do so at the links below. The game is free to play on mobile, with in-app purchases available (hints and further level packs beyond the original free 100) and optional reward-based ads that can be turned off.
