New Gacha Launch: Last Kings Global

Last Kings, a strategic auto-battle RPG developed by NX Games inc. and published by Barunson E&A is now available for download and play from the Apple and Google App stores (links below).  The game will eventually be launched on PC as well via steam (link below, it does not appear to be available yet) and promises cross-platform play.

After the Emperor Barthol disappeared with the jewel of might Aurum, the continent Arha has fallen into chaos. Because of risen Legion of the Abyss and unknown dark forces, Arha has been ruined and is now waiting for a new emperor.

Last Kings is a Strategic auto-battle RPG that has elements of city/empire building, battlefield army warfare, and 5 member hero party combat.  All combat is primarily auto-battle-action style with the manual use and placement of skills being optional. The strategic element lies with the choice of heroes to partake in combat, when/where to use hero skills, and the placement of units for the battlefield warfare.  The city/empire building portion of the game is pretty standard-fare for this style of game.

When starting the game, the player chooses one of 8 factions, each having their own leader, story, and strategic strengths and weaknesses.  Heroes are gained through a gacha system, and enhanced in typical rpg fashion. Last Kings includes solo story modes and guilds. Steam classifies the game as an MMO, and the game boasts “Gather with friends from all over the world to build the strongest guild”, but it was unclear to me with the information I was able to find, and from the 45 minutes I spent playing myself, if there was any significant co-op or PvP play options.
