In the spirit of its vague name, HyerBrawl Tournament for Apple Arcade combines PvP aspects of many games to produce a colorful variation of handball.
It has the stage of a soccer game (plus moving parts reminiscent of game shows like Knockout) with the action of a boxing match, and no rules except to score. Up to four players face off in various arenas and are given full license to knock out opponents for the ball. No referee, no fouls. Of course, characters are removed temporarily once their HP falls to zero, so be sure to pick your battles!
The game's eight Heroes can be outfitted with weapons and tools as well, making for some explosive plays. Abilities include things like a massive hammer, jetpack, magnetic hand, a whip that grabs other players, fireworks, and entire barrages of bombs.
Hyperbrawl Tournament will become available to PC and console players sometime in 2020.
With so much chaos and friendly fire, this has the makings of a great party game. Yet the HyperCurve homing mechanic and timing of weapons (which have very long cooldowns) means repeated victory will take some skill. It's accessible enough, but with a high difficulty ceiling, expert players may emerge to raise the bar even higher.
Experience the emotional roller coaster of end to end, goals galore, brawling and weapon fusion frenzy that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
