Event Overview

Update: Now that week one has wrapped up, head on over to our review of it to see how the first half of this event stacked up!

Looking for Part Two? Here's a quick link to take you there:

Update: Part One has been delayed due to game-breaking bugs. It will now start next Tuesday, Nov 12.

November’s Wizards Unite Brilliant event is here: Stronger United! After last month’s villains, heroes of the Wizarding World will have a chance to shine this month, in this and the three other events happening this month.

As with all other Brilliant events, this is a great chance to earn exclusive Restricted Section Books as well as Gold, scrolls, special event runestones, and more.

Part One

  • Start: Tues, November 12 at 11:00 PST / 19:00 UTC

  • End: Tues, November 19 at 11:00 PST / 19:00 UTC

  • Features: new Special Assignments, new Registry page with new Foundables

Part Two

  • Start: Tues, November 19 at 11:00 PST / 19:00 UTC

  • End: Thurs, November 26 at 11:00 PST / 19:00 UTC

  • Features: new Special Assignments, new Registry page with new Foundables

Important Note: Due to the postponement of Part One, there will be no break in between Parts One and Two of Stronger United

Read on for full details of the event plus some tips on how to prepare and how to make the most of the rewards available during this event.

Changes from Previous Brilliant Events

For those who have done the previous Brilliant Events, much of this event will follow a similar format, just with a new theme. However, there have been a few changes worth noting:

  • No break: Due to a critical issue with update 2.6.0, Part One has been postponed, leaving no week off before Part Two. Community Day will also happen during Part One, and a Legends of Hogwarts event starts as soon as Part Two ends. It will be a three-week string of events with no breaks. Good luck!

  • Traces: We’re back to normal Trace Encounters this time. No Oddity-style Brilliants, unlike Fighting Forces.

  • Bonus Assignment: Remember that Bonus Assignment at the end of Fighting Forces Part Two? There is now a Bonus Assignment for both parts of this event. Keep this in mind when pacing yourself for the event!

A couple other changes from Fighting Forces are also still around:

  • Spell Books: That’s right, Spell Books again! These are in the Special Assignment rewards.

  • Store Gift and Bundles: Once again, each week of the event includes a free gift as well as bundles for purchase. More on these below.

Event Gifts and Bundles

Part One of Stronger United features a free gift available to all players, as well as two bundles available for purchase. Both of the paid bundles can only be purchased once.

The contents of these gifts have been derived from the game files and are subject to change. In particular, both paid bundles are identical right now, so one or both of these is likely to change.

Free Gift

The Free Gift contains:

  • 4 Dark Detectors
  • 2 Potent Exstimulo Potion
  • 25 Spell Energy

SOS Bundle

The SOS Bundle costs 450 Gold and contains:

Item Ordinary Cost
5 Dark Detectors 765
2 Strong Exstimulo Potions 100
2 Potent Exstimulo Potions 150
50 Spell Energy 100
Total 1115

For those looking to buy Dark Detectors, this is the first bundle in Wizards Unite offering a real discount. Even valuing everything else at 0, the bundle is still a savings of 115 Gold if you would have bought Dark Detectors anyway. Since most players can probably find a use for Exstimulo Potions and Spell Energy, this bundle is actually a pretty good value as long as you're interested in Dark Detectors.

If you are not looking for more Dark Detectors (and therefore value them at 0 gold), the bundle is more expensive than buying the other items separately.

Brilliant Bundle

The Brilliant Bundle costs 900 Gold and contains:

Item Ordinary Cost
5 Dark Detectors 765
3 Strong Exstimulo Potions 150
5 Potent Exstimulo Potions 375
150 Spell Energy 300
Total 1590

If you're only after Dark Detectors, this bundle is actually worse than the SOS bundle. It is also, like the previous one, more expensive if you have no need for Dark Detectors.

However, if you want all of the items in the bundle, it's cheaper (and faster) than buying everything individually.

Bonus Assignment Bundle

There is also a third bundle in the game files, which appears to be tied to the Bonus Assignment. It is unclear if players will need to reach the Bonus Assignment before being able to purchase it. It costs 2100 Gold and contains:

Item Ordinary Cost
15 Dark Detectors 1625
15 Strong Exstimulo Potions 750
15 Potent Exstimulo Potions 1125
150 Spell Energy 300
Total 3800

Unlike the others, if you're just after Dark Detectors, this one is not the bundle for you. Despite what looks like big total savings, this bundle is really only a savings if you're after the Dark Detectors and the Exstimulo Potions.

And if you just want the Potions, it's really only worth the cost if you're desperate for the potions and Spell Energy. Otherwise, you'd be better off waiting for your potions to brew or filling up energy at Inns and Greenhouses.

The Spell Energy is nice, but for those who really struggle to have enough Spell Energy, it's not a huge dent. The same amount of coins could purchase 1050 Spell Energy, if that's what you're really looking for.

With all three of the bundles available for purchase, players who plan on buying them may want to wait until a time when they specifically need Spell Energy (such as while doing back to back battles at a Fortress) in order to take advantage of the Spell Energy that's included.

New Content

Both parts of this Brilliant will introduce several new Foundables, with six new ones for this first part. Here’s where you can expect to find them:

Stronger United Part One Registry infographic

Trace Encounters

These Foundables will appear on the map. Travel around your local area to find them.

Special Assignments

These Foundables can only be found by completing the Special Assignments for the event. Check below for the full list of tasks.

Fortresses

To collect fragments for this Foundable, players will need to successfully complete Wizarding Challenges at Fortresses using a Stronger United Runestone.

Portkeys

Fragments for this Foundable can only be obtained by unlocking special event portkeys picked up during this event.

Note: The above is subject to change but based on the current information found in the game files.

Special Assignments

A new event with new content also means new Special Assignments! As of publishing, the game files do not have the full task list, so the below list is incomplete and highly subject to change. Some, if not all, of the tasks may simply be placeholders until the full task list is released.

Completing the Registry

There are four ways to collect Foundables for this event and complete the Registry. To finish the page, players will need to do all four, as each Foundable in the Registry will only be available via one specific method.

  • Trace encounters

  • Special Assignment rewards

  • Fortress rewards

  • Portkey rewards

Both the Brilliant Mad-Eye Moody and the Brilliant Nymphadora Tonks Foundables will be available in special Oddity-style Trace encounters. Two more (Amelia Bones and Rufus Scrimgeour) are only available as rewards for completing the Special Assignments.

Fragments of the Fortress-exclusive Foundable, Gethsemane Prickle, will only be available by using Stronger United Runestones (available as rewards for ranking up the Stronger United Registry) in Wizarding Challenges. Kingsley Shacklebolt will only be found in 3km Portkeys picked up during Part One of the Stronger United event.

Note: 7km and 3km Portkeys from previous Brilliant Events are not expected to reward Stronger United rewards.

Event Rewards

Of course, this event is more than just an opportunity to complete some Special Assignments and fill in a new Registry page. Players can earn Restricted Section Books, available only during certain events, and stock up on Runestones and Scrolls.

To earn Restricted Section Books, players simply need to complete the Special Assignments during the event. Even just completing some of the tasks will reward players with some of these books, though completing the entire set of tasks will net the largest rewards.

By ranking up the Stronger United Registry, players can also earn lots of Scrolls and Runestones. This is especially important as these resources become harder and harder to get outside of events as players finish out the early Registry ranks.

To rank up the Registry, be sure to focus on the event-exclusive Foundables. Traces are the easiest and most reliable source of Family XP, but don’t forget about Fortresses (be sure to use a Stronger United Runestone!) and the special 3km Portkeys either.

Story Dialogue

As you go through the event and place images, characters will pop up to share bits of the Wizards Unite storyline with you. In case you tap the dialogue away too fast (or just want a sneak peak now), here is the dialogue. Just click to expand and reveal all of the dialogue.

Note: Not all story text is available yet. For now, you can just get a sneak peak of the opening part of the story, but we'll update the rest after the event starts. Check back soon for that update!

Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Stronger United Part One Dialogue

Introduction

The Calamity most recently focused on Grimmauld Place, headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix. It looks like there may well be another surge, and early accounts indicate that it may also be related to the Order.

The Calamity always seems to focus on something in particular -- a time, a place, or a group of people -- if we can identify what the Calamity is targeting, we may be able to figure out how to stop it.

How to Prepare

While the short notice of event details gave players very little time to prepare for this event specifically, here are some last-minute tips to help you prepare anyway:

Queue Potions for Tasks in Parts 2 & 3 in Advance

Part 2 and 3 of this week's tasks add up to nearly 24 hours of brew time. If you want to speed through these tasks, you can queue up the required potions in advance and wait to claim until you reach those tasks.

With Master Notes on the first and last potions, it'll take 22 hours and 12 minutes total to brew these potions. To save time, queue up your potions so that you have 2 Strong Exstimulo Potions followed by 2 Potent Exstimulo Potions starting at about 1pm Pacific Time (9pm UTC) on Monday, which is about 22 hours before the event starts.

Just be sure that you do not claim the potions early. Ignore the red dot and wait until you reach the tasks requiring them to pick them up.

Thanks to Maléficent Desperados for emailing to suggest this tip! (There's a handy little email icon at the bottom of every article which lets you contact the writer.)

Save up Portkey space

While the current Special Assignments don’t seem to require players to open any Portkeys (though it’s very likely there will be at least one requiring players to unlock Portkeys), those who want to finish their Registry pages will still need to pick up at least five Brilliant Portkeys during Part One.

Hold onto any unlocked Portkeys until after the event starts to avoid accidentally picking up Portkeys before the Brilliant ones are available!

Stock up Exstimulo Potions

If you have limited time, spell energy, or spawns to complete the event, be sure to stock up on some Exstimulo Potions now to help you return all the Foundables you need faster. With the recent change to potions, you no longer have to worry about “wasting” a potion if you return on the first cast, as they’ll transfer to the next Foundable until all (3-5) uses are gone.

Of course, you'll still want to be sure to save some of those ingredients for the tasks that require brewing.

Pace yourself

With the addition of bonus assignments, this Brilliant Event might take a bit longer to complete than previous ones. If you want to complete all of the Assignments, including the Bonus assignment, you’ll need to make sure to allocate yourself enough time to get through it all.

Most players should still be able to get through all of the main Part One tasks without serious grinding. The bonus tasks, however, might take awhile for players with lower spawn or inn density, as it requires returning so many more Foundables.

If your area is low on Spawns, or you struggle to keep up on Spell Energy, you may want to pick up the pace on the earlier tasks to give yourself extra time for the bonus assignment.

Conclusion

Now that you’re all ready, the only thing left to do is wait for the event to start! We’ll continue to update this guide as more information (such as the Special Assignments list) is available or confirmed, so be sure to check back soon!
