Fans of Masashi Kishimoto's world-famous manga Naruto are on the edge of their seats as we move closer to the eventual release of the franchise's first mobile MMORPG, Naruto: Slugfest. Announced officially during a press conference in July by developers GameSamba, Slugfest is an officially licensed game, created under the supervision of license holders SHUEISHA, TV Tokyo Corporation, and Studio Pierrot. The game will have both PVP and PVE modes, alongside multiple professions and skill customizations, in a 3D open-world setting.

As of Nov. 12, the game became available for access as part of a closed beta test (CBT) in some parts of Europe (currently confirmed: Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands, and Switzerland). The CBT will run until Nov. 19, and comes after what developer GameSamba refers to as a 'very successful beta test in [the] Phillippines [sic] in April'. Though players have criticized some aspects of the game thus far, such as the lack of character customization and server outages during the CBT, the studio is still confident that players will enjoy the game as they continue to fix issues.

You can watch some footage from both the initial April beta test and the current CBT in the videos below!

While there isn't yet any confirmed way for iOS players to access the game, Android players can download the game via the following links. Players outside of the CBT regions in Europe will need to use a VPN to connect to the game (with region set to Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands or Switzerland).
