Valentines Day returns for 2020 with yet another Pokemon Go celebration in honor of this day of love and affection! This time around players can expect Holiday spawns, special bonuses, a new shiny family, and the introduction of two brand new Generation 5 Pokemon!

Special Spawns

As usual, this event puts an emphasis on "Pink Pokemon", which opens the spawn pool to a fairly wide and varied assortment of Pokemon. Listed in the official press release are the following Pokemon that will hatch from 7k eggs:

If any of these appeal to you, then get ready to start hatching those 7k eggs! Otherwise, most of these Pokemon should have family members spawning in the wild fairly frequently.

Bonuses

The following bonuses will be available for the duration of this event:

  • 2x Catch Candy
  • Six Hour Lure Modules

In short; if you're low on candy for any of the Pokemon featured in this event, then this will be your chance to play catch-up!

Shiny Chansey Family

It's time for yet another well-known family to join the Shiny club! This time around, it will be Happiny, Chansey, and Blissey. This is a family that has been synonymous with Gym Defense since the early days, and was once one of the most important Pokemon in the entire game.

Shiny Chansey Family

It's likely to be extremely rare, but Shiny Happiny is confirmed to come from 7k eggs and Shiny Blissey is confirmed to be available in the wild. Potential shiny raid boss some day? We can only hope!

New Pokemon

Audino and Alomomola are both on their way! These pink Pokemon are a perfect fit for the Valentine's Day season, and will likely be a great new addition to any collection. However: it's been confirmed that they are particularly rare, so keep in contact with your local group!

Valentine's Day Avatar Items

Feeling jealous of all of these pink Pokemon? Well don't worry, because Niantic has you covered with this brand new set of avatar items for both male and female avatars!

Trainers,

Love is in the air! Our annual Valentine’s Day event is back. From Friday, February 14, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, February 17, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. in your local time zone, pink Pokémon will be appearing more often in the wild, in raids, in Eggs, and as Field Research encounters.

Audino, the Hearing Pokémon, and Alomomola, the Caring Pokémon, will be making their Pokémon GO debut! They’ll be appearing in the wild and hatching from 7 km Eggs. They're rare though, so you might encounter them only if you’re very lucky! Audino and Alomomola will remain available (and incredibly hard to find!) in Pokémon GO after the event ends.

Regular Lure Modules activated during the event will last six hours, and you’ll receive a 2× Catch Candy bonus. Pink Pokémon—like Lickitung, Porygon, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Luvdisc, and Happiny—will be hatching from 7 km Eggs. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Chansey in the wild or hatch a Shiny Happiny!

Celebrate the lovely occasion with Valentine’s Day–themed avatar items like the Luvdisc Top, Ripped Luvdisc Jeans, and Luvdisc Shoes. Get them in the Style Shop!

Lickitung Raid Day

To continue the pink Pokémon festivities in celebration of Valentine’s Day, there will be a Raid Day featuring Lickitung on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone! Lickitung will be in four-star raids and know Body Slam! You can receive up to five Raid Passes at no cost during the event by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. You cannot hold more than one of these Raid Passes at once, and they will not be available after the event ends. Lucky Trainers might encounter Shiny Lickitung!

Have a happy Valentine’s Day, Trainers! Be sure to follow us on social media, opt in to receive push notifications, and subscribe to our emails to stay updated. Let’s GO!
