Team

Note: none of the builds below is the definitive best out of the suggested ones, the fighters highlighted below are just all strong enough to put up a serious argument to be on the team, so they're all listed. Also, "Bench" Fighters aren't necessarily worse than the "Core" Fighters, as the choice of which ones to use is dependant on the matchup.

The Dragon Balls in the LF icons indicate the stars required for them to be considered Core options. If a LF doesn't have the Dragon Ball, it means it's core regardless of Stars.

Discussion

  • The Mono-red version of this Team is the strongest, as Ultra Instinct Goku, Whis and 17 & 18 are all great disruptors that synergize well together. Specifically, the Androids duo will just carry this Team's offensive load thanks to all the additional Extra Moves they can get from Whis' presence on the Team.

  • Other traditional God Ki lineups are still pretty good, since the Team can boast about Fighters as impactful as SSB Vegeta, or simply use powerful Meta-defining Fighters as leaders such as SSB Kaioken Goku and Super Gogeta, which also fit the team well.

  • The gorgeous pair of Androids makes an incredibly dynamic duo that can stack up Offensive Effects, as well as continuous Debuffs on opponents, which makes them really consistent at manipulating their flow of the Game. It's just really hard to stop them from having any kind of positive impact on a Match.
  • The Type Switch mechanic is still arguably the most powerful thing currently in the game, more so on a Fighter that would be amazing even without such as this one.

  • This Fighter is just massively powerful and consistent, thanks to high Damage Buffs, Healing, Damage Reduction, Arts Draw Speed, Special Gauge that makes him draw a Special Move every combo... did I mention he can also make you coffee?
  • His Crisis Effects are just as absurd as the rest of his toolkit, as he gets access to Lock-In and Element Neutral for a limited time as soon as one of his allies dies, and he draws an Ultimate Move when he's the Last Man Standing, other than also being able to draw another one through Main Ability. Essentially, it's just very hard to outlast this Fighter.

  • Even though he didn't get much from his Zenkai, he can deal pretty good Strike Damage even with little build up, and his Ultimate Move is frightening for any opponent who's below 50% HP thanks to the Lock-In Effect. Still, on this Team he gets so many Supportive Damage Buffs and Z-Ability Bonuses that he'll feel like a constant threat for opponents.
  • Lack of Anti-Cover Effects and Anti-Endurance severely limits his Offensive potential, as it means he often won't be able to take advantage of his 2x Arts Draw Speed on Main Ability to Build up Damage Buffs for his Ultimate Move, as the opponent can abuse annoying Cover Effects to stop his whole Combo. While this is not a make or break type of thing for him, he would've been way better if the devs added those Effects.

  • Much like Vados, Whis is capable of deeply impacting Matches through his Supportive Abilities and Debuffs. Specifically, his debuff to opponent's Arts Draw Speed is quite annoying, as it can be combined with SSBKK Goku's ( which is the same debuff ) to put a significant dent to the opposite Team's Offensive potential.
  • For the rest, he's nothing special Offensively or Defensively, but the long Anti-Cover Effect he gets comes in handy.

  • He's a quite strong Offensive Fighter with stalling capabilities that are basically unmatched in the Meta, as his Gauge-tied Dodge mechanic is a powerful tool to control the opponents' moves, that he's able to frequently take advantage of since he can generate his Gauge quite easily.
  • While he might not have never-ending Offensive resources of other Fighters in the Meta, he can still be really Effective Damage wise thanks to his strong Special/Ultimate Moves, and consistent Damage Buffs all around.
