Metagross is one of the best Pokemon in the game, so it's obviously one of the best Pokemon to acquire and acquire candy for, since you'll want to max out your Metagross to make the most of it. With it's Community Day Meteor Mash, Metagross remains one of the best Steel-type Attackers, despite it not being a particularly useful attacking type. It's slew of resistances make it great for Rocket Battles too.
Metagross is strong enough that it can compete with the big boys in the Master League. In the Premier Cup, it is one of the pillars of the format. In capped leagues (GL/UL), its high attack keeps it from being relevant.

In Raids, Clefable has some use when weather boosted and against certain movesets, and a high-level one may be useful to newer players.
In the Great League, Clefable is a great Fairy-type whose Charm packs a punch, though Azumaril remains a Fairy with better coverage.
Ultra League is Clefable's real league though. Capping below 2500 CP, try to grab a Lucky Clefairy to tear through Ultra League's Giratina. In the UL Premier Cup, Clefable actually performs worse, since there's not as many Dragons for it to match up against.

* Since Go Fest, Jigglypuff can now spawn shiny in the wild.
In the Great League, Wigglytuff is a Clefable that trades a Fighting-type resistance for an immunity to Ghosts. Throw in some cheaper Charge Moves and you've got yourself a really great Great League pick!

Bronzong is a well-rounded and under utilized Pokemon in the Great League, with great typing and solid performance.
Dark and Ghost threats abound scare Bronzong out of the open Ultra League, though it functions well in the Premier Cup as one of the best Confusion users.

Deoxys does see some use in drafts and other raid challenges where it can serve as a below average Psychic or Electric attacker, but it's probably not worth your Rare Candy investment.
