JWA Weekly Events May 4- May 10: Hall of Fame

Submit Feedback or Error

Introduction

Explorers! The early information we were provided last week comes to life in the Hall of Fame event. Let's get to it and talk about our recommendations of what to dart before we break down the rest this week has to offer!

Weekly Calendar Explained

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

  • Common = 9 per
  • Rare = 6 per
  • Epic = 3 per
  • Legendary/Unique = 1 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

Featured Creatures: Commons

Wednesday - Thursday: 27 Attempts

  • Brontotherium (Battle Exclusive) (Brontolasmus)
  • Inostrancevia (Local 1 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Inostherium, Edaphocevia>Albertocevia, Dodocevia)
  • Lythronax (Local 3 Anytime) (Purrolyth>Grypolyth)

Arena

If you are wanting to prioritize working on your arena team, it's Inostrancevia or bust. Albertocevia is the best hybrid any of these helps create, and it isn't really very close.

Tournament

As a base Common, Brontotherium holds its head high in qualifying tournaments, though a well built Lythronax can also be nasty. Purrolyth is a very often used rare hybrid, and we all know flocks like Dodocevia tend to sit atop their rarities, so darting Inostrancevia to build that isn't a bad idea either. There's fair reason for any of these when it comes to tournament, and you might ultimately dart whatever crosses your path.

Raid

Purrolyth can be used to solo the Meiolania raid, while none of the others really appear in any strategies. If this is your priority, then you'll want to go Lythronax.

Overall

We like Brontotherium for its exclusivity, but none of these really stands out that greatly over the others. 27 is a lot of attempts over two days and you may not care to spend time being choosy.

Featured Creatures: Friday Epics

Friday: 9 Attempts

  • Ailurarctos (Event Exclusive)
  • Diplodocus (Event Exclusive) (Geminititan)
  • Titanoboa (Event Exclusive) (Dilophoboa>Spinoconstrictor)

Arena

Your choice will likely be between Diplodocus and Titanoboa here. They both have strong hybrids that will definitely help you out in the Arena. Ailurarctos simply doesn't have a good Arena presence in the higher Arenas, so it won't be high on your priority list.

Tournament

All three of these creatures perform excellently in their respective rarity Tournaments. You cannot make a wrong choice here. If you really want our recommendation, go with Ailurarctos because it has been around way less than the others.

Raid

Diplodocus is my far the best choice. Geminititan is a Raid King and it doesn't seem like that's going to change anytime soon.

Overall

We like Ailurarctos as the top choice overall. It's been around for way less than the other two, and even though it's the Seasonal reward, you'll want to stock up on its DNA for its inevitable future hybrid.

Featured Creatures: Saturday Epics

Saturday: 9 attempts

  • Allosaurus G2 (Event Exclusive) (Alloraptor > Allodrigues)
  • Anurognathus (Event Exclusive) (Ardontognathus)
  • Bumpy (Event Exclusive) (Ankylomoloch > Ankylos Lux)

Arena

All these creatures are pretty good for the Arena. Bumpy creates Ankylomoloch and Ankylos Lux, Allosaurus G2 makes Alloraptor and Allodrigues, and Anurognathus makes Ardontognathus. All of these are great creatures for the Arena. We're going to recommend Anurognathus here, for the sole reason that it has been available the least out of the three. Bumpy is a close second, but we have the Daily Dino DNA for Bumpy this month, so that's why we didn't put it at number 1.

Tournament

Bumpy is probably your best bet here. Its Legendary hybrid Ankylomoloch dominates in Legendary Tournaments, but considering this month we have an Epic Tournament, Anurognathus might be a good shout. It's a powerful flock in Epic Tournaments, so definitely a good choice too. Allosaurus G2 is once again third, but it and its hybrids haven't been stars in Tournaments, so it deserves the third place.

Raid

Bumpy is the only creature here that has anything close to Raid viability, so its the best choice here. The other two don't really hold a candle.

Overall

This is pretty tough to choose, but we would recommend Anurognathus as it's the newest creature on the block. Bumpy and Allosaurus G2 are valid alternatives though, so we can't really tell you to not dart them.

Featured Creatures: Legendaries

Sunday: 1 attempt

  • Tarbognathus
  • Thylaconyx

Arena

Both of these are great in the Arena, so darting whichever is totally fine. However, Thylaconyx has more Exclusive components, so we'd recommend going for that one.

Tournament

Same story as with Arena to be honest. However, this one is much closer as Tarbognathus is a really strong creature in Tournaments. But we'd still recommend Thylaconyx due to Exclusivity.

Raid

Thylaconyx is once again your best bet here due to Skirmish being a Group attack. Tarbognathus is difficult to use in Raids as a flock, so Thylaconyx is the clear choice here.

Overall

It's a toss up really. Both creatures are great, and if you don't care about Exclusivity you can go for either creature.

Featured Creatures: Rare

Monday - Tuesday: 18 attempts

  • Albertosaurus (Event exclusive) (Albertospinos, Albertocevia)
  • Cervalces (Event Exclusive) (Arctalces > Arctovasilas)
  • Rodrigues Solitaire (Event Exclusive) (Allodrigues)

Arena

Considering the powerhouse that is Albertocevia, we can't really recommend anything other than Albertosaurus. You'll need a lot of Albertosaurus to get Albertocevia to high levels, and Events like this are your best bet. Rodrigo is a very close second though, as the new Rare will create the new Unique Allodrigues. Cervalces will create Arctovasilas, but it's the worst option out of the three Rares to dart.

Tournament

Once again, we have to recommend Albertosaurus. It's a threat in every Tournament it's available in, and considering all Tournaments this month have Rares, you'll profit from a high-level Albertosaurus for sure! The other two don't really hold a candle to Albertosaurus for Tournaments, so you're best off darting Albertosaurus.

Raid

Your best bet here is actually Cervalces. Arctalces and Arctovasilas have some Raid use with Defensive Edge and Alert Group Persistent Shields to support their team, while the others don't have much Raid usage.

Overall

For us, it's a toss-up between Albertosaurus and Rodrigues Solitaire. Albertosaurus will get you the most bang for your buck, but Rodrigues Solitaire is very new and Event Exclusive, so you're well off darting that one to unlock its Hybrid.

Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!

Strike Events & Trials

Strike Events & Trials will also be Hall of Fame themed. Get out and finish all Strike Events to get all of that Exclusive DNA!

Like last week, we have two dinosaur specific strikes this week, a Tyrannosaurus Rex G2 strike on Wednesday, and a Secodontosaurus strike on Friday. We've also got the Boost Strikes on Thursday (Attack), Saturday (HP), and Monday (Speed) and a Badge strike Sunday and a Title strike Tuesday.

Scents

We have a basic scent strike on Monday, and prior to that will be a Medium Theropod scent on Thursday. This scent can draw the following creatures when activated:

  • Lythronax (Common)
  • Majungasaurus (Common)
  • Carnotaurus (Rare)
  • Megalosaurus (Rare)
  • Concavenator (Epic)
  • Rajasaurus (Epic)

Treasure Chase

We  are back to our standard treasure chase, where we have the opportunity to open chests each hour to collect up to 25,000 total coins. These chests also reset at 8pm Eastern, providing another opportunity to acquire 25,000 coins by 11am Easetern Monday morning.

Hybrid Pursuit

This week concludes the Phorurex pursuit with the Global Common Dracorex G2!

Free Cash Link

GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12pm Eastern - Tuesday, 12pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!

If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.

*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
