JWA Weekly Events May 18- May 28: High HP

Submit Feedback or Error

Introduction

Explorers! We move on to another basic theme with a fan favorite, High HP! Let's get to it and talk about our recommendations of what to dart before we break down the rest this week has to offer!

Weekly Calendar Explained

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

  • Common = 9 per
  • Rare = 6 per
  • Epic = 3 per
  • Legendary/Unique = 1 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

Featured Creatures: Commons

Wednesday: 36 Attempts

  • Allosaurus (Global Dawn/Dusk/Night) (Allosinosurus>Thoradolosaur)
  • Apatosaurus (Global Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Nodopatosaurus>Gigaspikasaur/Nodopatotitan/Stegodeus)
  • Dimetrodon Gen 2 (Global Anytime) (Monolometrodon>Monolorhino)
  • Tarbosaurus (Global Anytime) (Thoradolosaur, Tarbognathus)

Overall

We aren't going to spend time breaking down these Global options over the various ways we can use them. Our main recommendation will be to dart whatever crosses your path, 36 is a lot of attempts over just 2 days.

Voting Poll

77% of those who responded to our voting poll are going to dart whatever crosses their path. 18% have their sights on Tarbo, and the rest have pretty small interest. These percentages are as of writing on Tuesday night, please refer to the voting poll channel in our Discord server for updated numbers.

Featured Creatures: Epics

Friday - Saturday: 9 Attempts

  • Brachiosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Ardentismaxima)
  • Diplodocus (Event Exclusive) (Geminititan)
  • Sonorasaurus (Event Exclusive) (Skoonasaurus)

Arena

Sonora is your target here if your priority lies with your arena team. Though people are slowly benching Skoona in favor of some newer crushes, it is still very prevalent and very mighty.

Tournament

As base epics, Diplod is very much your strongest of these 3 for qualifying tournaments (which we have two over the next two weeks). After that, Brachi is also quite strong, and w do not see much for Sonora. With regards to their hybrids, we see them the same as with the Arena - Skoona would be the strongest making Sonora your choice.

Raid

All three of the hybrids are used in many raid strategies, so none really would take priority in this facet.

Overall

It's always a massive challenge when we're faced with multiple Event Exclusive options. You'll mainly want to evaluate your personal goals here and go for what you feel you need the most. This is also a prime opportunity to split your attempts over multiple options You aren't going wrong with whichever you wind up with.

Voting Poll

52% of those who responded to our voting poll are going to seek out Sonora.  This is followed by 33% who have their sights on Diplod, 13% who will dart whatever crosses their path, and the other 2% are looking for Brachi. These percentages are as of writing on Tuesday night, please refer to the voting poll channel in our Discord server for updated numbers.

Featured Creatures: Legendaries

Sunday: 3 attempts

  • Ardontosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Ardentismaxima, Ardontognathus)
  • Gigaspikasaur (Event Exclusive)
  • Nodopatotitan (Event Exclusive)

Overall

We also won't spend time breaking this rarity down in great depth, as Ardonto is a clear cut winner over the other two.

Voting Poll

84% of those who responded to our voting poll are going for Ardonto.  This is followed by 11% who will dart whatever crosses their path, 4% who like Gigaspike, and the remaining 1% are all about Notepad. These percentages are as of writing on Tuesday night, please refer to the voting poll channel in our Discord server for updated numbers.

Featured Creatures: Uniques

Sunday: 1 attempt

  • Ardentismaxima (Event Exclusive)
  • Geminititan (Event Exclusive)
  • Skoonasaurus (Event Exclusive)

Overall

We touched on these in the Epics section since the base of each is featured there, so please refer to that section if you need assistance with your choice. Regardless of what you choose, don't miss out! Now that the "rules" have been broken and we can be presented with Sper Duper hybrids, it can never hurt to stockpile the extra Unique DNA if you have them all maxed.

Voting Poll

60% of those who responded to our voting poll are going to seek out Skoona.  This is followed by 23% who have their sights on Gem, 9% who will look for Maxima, and another 9% who will settle for whatever crosses their path. These percentages are as of writing on Tuesday night, please refer to the voting poll channel in our Discord server for updated numbers.

Featured Creatures: Rare

Monday - Tuesday: 18 attempts

  • Argentinosaurus (Monday) (Ardontosaurus>Ardentismaxima/Ardontognathus)
  • Fukuisaurus (Local 3 Anytime) (Fukuimimus)
  • Quetzalcoatlus (Event Exclusive) (Pteraquetzal>Quetzorion)

Arena

As things currently stand, Argentina is going to help you with the best Arena creature of the possible hybrids (Ardontognathus). However, Fukuimimus can be a real nuisance to your opponent. If you have access to the other component, Struthomimus, then we can advocate Fukui as your target here. This is a rare situation where the Event Exclusive is kind of the odd one out. Quetz is certainly usable in arena, but we think the others will take you further.

Tournament

As base rares, Fuikui is the strongest in qualifying tournaments which you maybe had the pleasure of witnessing over the past couple weekends. When considering Legendary hybrids, Fukui takes that cake, though Ardontosaurus  doesn't perform super poorly. And with Uniques, we like Ardontognathus over the others.

Raid

Argentina is your plan here if you are wanting to beef up your raid squad. Both Ardontosaurus and Ardentismaxima make appearances in commonly used raid strategies. At this time, we really do not see the others.

Overall

These are all truly fine choices and don't feel you can go wrong with whichever you choose based on your personal preference and goals.

Voting Poll

58% of those who responded to our voting poll fancy the Fukui. This is followed by 26% who are quazy about Quetz, 10% who align with Argentina, and the final 6% who will dart whatever crosses their path. These percentages are as of writing on Tuesday night, please refer to the voting poll channel in our Discord server for updated numbers.

Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!

Strike Events & Trials

Strike Events & Trials will also be High HP themed and will reward the same Common, Rare, and Epic DNA found at Event Drops. There is a very tiny chance you may be lucky and also receive Legendary in your haul.

We again have two dinosaur specific strikes this week, an Elasmotherium strike on Wednesday, and an Edaphosaurus strike on Friday. We've also got the Boost Strikes on Thursday (Attack), Saturday (HP), and Monday (Speed) with a Badge strike Sunday and an Emote strike Tuesday.

Scents

  • Amargasaurus (Rare)
  • Argentinosaurus (Rare)
  • Giraffatitan (Rare)
  • Brachiosaurus (Epic)
  • Diplodocus (Epic)

Free Cash Link

GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12pm Eastern - Tuesday, 12pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!

If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.

*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
