Level 10 Effect
Prioritize attacking the enemy unit with the highest base damage. Keep firing after ammo is depleted and only reload when she has the highest DPS out of all T-Dolls on the battlefield. Increase critical rate by 3% with every attack, lasting 4 seconds and stacking up to 12 times. |

Equipment
Overview
MG338 is another addition to the extended volley MG camp. And also the heterochromia gang. She’s a bit odd, but carries a lot of strong fundamentals to be an extremely valuable addition to MG teams.
Her base stats are great. High firepower, gives armor tiles, great tile layout. Her low clipsize is the only real problem, and it is entirely fixed by her skill.
MG338’s skill lets her shoot regardless of how much ammo she has if she is not the top damage dealer on the team according to the damage% summary on the right side. So pair her with other strong MGs or other sources of extreme burst DPS like Carcano M91/38.
Her aiming is also deterministic, since she prioritizes enemies with the highest firepower instead of spraying whatever like other MGs, letting her take out really dangerous units that others won’t shoot consistently. Her attacks stack additive crit rate additively up to a bonus 36% to dish out some extra dps. All these things considered, MG338 is definitely worth raising.

Strengths
Huge Base FP
104 Firepower is high, even for an MG. It beats out M2HB’s by 2.
Extended Volley MG
Pairing with high DPS/other extended volley MGs will mean MG338 never runs out of ammo.
Standard Armor Buffing Tiles, Good Coverage
While standard and expected at this point, 15% armor tile buffs are still good. MG338 also has great tile coverage, able to buff the position 6 SG from 4 separate spots.
Highest FP Targeting
MG338 is less RNG than most MGs, prioritizing enemies with the highest Firepower first.
Weaknesses
Ally-Dependent
MG338, by her very nature, cannot be the strongest damage dealer on the team. She can only do as much as the best unit. Thus she is reliant on some other MG to deal more damage than her.
Low Clipsize (lol)
9 rounds per clip is low for an MG. But MG338’s skill kind of makes that meaningless since she keeps firing anyways.
Full Analysis
Trivia
- MG338’s DPS comparison does not count retreating T-Dolls, HOCs, or fairies, only present T-Dolls.
- If she hits the top of the damage dealt chart after going through her initial clip, MG338 immediately starts reloading.
- While reloading, MG338 can be reload-canceled. If she is no longer the unit with the highest damage dealt, she will begin firing again, even with 0 bullets in the clip.
- MG338’s critical hit rate self-buff is additive and stacks additively. Her total critical hit rate with just a VFL equipped is then: 5% + 48% + (3% * 12) = 89% crit rate.
- Despite her unique targeting priority, MG338 is still affected by enemy taunts.
- MG338 will focus on her current target until she is retargeted or it dies.
- Technically can be left at SL 1, since only the crit rate scales with skill level, but this is not recommended for harder content.

Team Options
Extended Volley MGs
Since MG338 keeps firing so long as she is not top damage, other extended volley MGs that can consistently outperform her can keep her firing presumably indefinitely.
Generally Strong Front Loaded DPS
Other units (usually also MGs) that excel in dumping ridiculous amounts of damage in certain situations can also keep MG338 firing, even if they have to reload.

History/Trivia
Profile
A Doll with dual personality. She is usually very polite and sweet-natured, and speaks to everyone in a respectful manner. However, her other personality surfaces the moment, she goes into battle, and she turns into a ferocious lord of war, but without going berserk. Her black eye has the same function as regular a T-Doll's eyes, while her white eye can perceive human beings' nuanced emotions and is very useful in interrogation.
