Pet Evil is Returning to Kickstarter

Pet Evil (@PetEVILgame) is a strategy card game about world domination where players build and fire missiles at each other where the goal is to be the last pet standing.
The game is being produced by Studio 71 Games and funded on Kickstarter and when fully funded is set to be available in early 2020.

It’s a literal arms race, but the threat of mutually assured destruction doesn’t scare these Evil Pets. After all, the explosion of a nuclear warhead sounds like the purrfect thing to sunbathe in front of.

The point of Pet Evil is to build missiles, fire missiles, and stave off nuclear radiation long enough to be the last pet standing.
Other features include:

Resource appropriation from other pets!
Realistic trade mechanics where-in no one is required to be truthful in their dealings, and the specifics of what is exchanged is only revealed after the trade is complete!
Peace treaties that last an entire round!
A nuclear winter of your own making!

If you win, congratulations! We would send you a trophy but unfortunately, it was within blast radius and got all melty.

Peace was never an option. All that’s left is to ensure you don’t have to share this planet-sized wasteland litter box with anyone else.

Editorial Thoughts

Honestly, this game looks pretty fun in a gallows humor kind of way. The rules are simple but allow for several different types of gameplay.

Heralds of chaos (because let’s face it, there’s at least one in every friend group) will definitely have a blast with this. Clever negotiators can use the Trade Action to trick other players into accepting Evil Pet cards. Others with an eye for recycling can use scrapped cards against their users.

Unless you’re a pacifist, there’s something here for everyone.
