June 13th, 2019 is the start date of Pokemon GO Fest 2019 in Chicago, Illinois.
Players have been at the park for several hours now, and reports of an unannounced shiny Pokemon are coming in.
Shiny Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam are now available in-game.
In addition, players are now able to complete the Jirachi Special Research available to anyone with a ticket to GO Fest 2019.

Other surprises during the event include the return of Flower Crown Pikachu and Flower Crown Eevee.
Shiny Clefairy has also been spotted for the first time in the wild. Shiny Cleffa was previously the only shiny available from the Clefairy line.
