On June 5, 2019, The Pokemon Company presented a 6 minute long video presenting information on the Pokemon Sword and Shield games for Nintendo Switch.
During this presentation, a feature that has been in Pokemon GO for several years was confirmed to be coming to the main series games: Raids!
Raids will take place on the overworld map and will be an activity that players can participate in co-operatively.
Four players were pictured during the video taking on a giant Weavile. This Pokemon's size is explained in the game as a "Dynamax" transformation.
Pokemon GO integration was announced for Pokemon Sword and Shield through Pokemon Home, an app that will function as a centralized hub for Pokemon across all games. A player's Pokemon GO Pokemon will be able to be transferred to Sword and Shield for use in that game. You can check out the full presentation below.
