Overview

With a poor defense stat, a double Flying weakness, and weaknesses to powerful Fire and Psychic attackers, Breloom is among the easiest tier 3 bosses to date. Rayquaza preys on Breloom hard; maxed out Rayquaza can defeat Breloom in less than half the total allotted time! That said, Breloom has nasty, hard-hitting charge moves coming from a high attack stat, so low level raiders should be adept at timing dodges.

Numerous options are available to the level 20 player, both legendary and non-legendary. Once you’re at level 25, myriad Flying, Fire, Psychic, Poison, Ice, and Fairy attackers become viable. Go nuts with that Crobat or Skarmory that you powered up.

Approach

Team composition

  • Rayquaza is the overall best counter; Lugia adds bulk to low-level teams

Dodging strategy

  • At low levels (≤25), dodge some charge moves to avoid being wiped out

  • Sludge Bomb and Dynamic Punch need more dodging than Seed Bomb

Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
