Where have all the revives gone?

It seems there has been a huge drop off in number of revives given out by stops. I've dwindled to about 20 and can barely keep it around there (it all depends on how many I get from raids), but I used to throw them out by the dozens to make room in my bag. Now that I'm raiding more, I really need them. What gives?

I noticed the same and it's the first time that this has happened to me. I recall people complaining about revive shortage since the legendary birds but it did not affect me until now. For a bit more than a week I am getting a lot less revives and have to use my max revive stock.

I find enough revives, the potions are the problem for me.

everyone knows what they need to do to not have a revive problem. a lot of people continue to do what causes a revive problem. obviously they feel it is a problem they can live with.

you don't want a revive problem? do more tier 2 and 3 than legendary. don't do legendary raids with small groups. spin stops at gyms and catch lots of pokemon. use trash mons in gym battles and to hold gyms.

don't want to do what I just said? then live with the revive issue you have. your choice. do what makes you happy.

I have 400 revives (between normal and max) and throw the normal revives away once in a while.

Everyone low on revives knows what they need to do but they will not do it. They will just say Niantic needs to make changes so that everyone gets more revives (many of us don't want anything changed).

Given that your Max Potions >> Revives, why not toss your ultrapotions and free up 100+ bag space items? Just curious of your strategy.

It doesn’t seem to matter much. If I want to get my revives up to 200 I would just switch out more mons before fainting and use some big potions.

Battle in gyms? A fair amount. But I often take gyms over by using 1 or 0 revives. (it is possible to use junk mons to take gyms)

I am down to 13 max revive.
I have abundant hyper/max potion. i tend to switch mon just before it faints in raid. They faint of dodge bug. I am still not keeping up.

Something I've read several times but always forget to try out:

Order your attack party in a semi-reverse order and switch to a new pokemon at the end of the list.
1, 6, 5
4, 3, 2
Then when you switch out a pokemon it goes to the end of the list. When a pokemon does faint, you will switch into a fresh attacker not one that is also ready to faint.

Yes, there are definitely a lot less revives lately. The only way I can keep them in stock is to spin gyms, especially friendly ones. I find that I get many more revives from gyms than from pokestops now. Regardless, I currently have about 300 potions and only 60 revives.

My revive/max revive stockpile dropped a lot with Kyogre, but is now starting to build back up.

Here's a more apt problem for me; Great ball, ultra ball and razz berry drought. I conserve revives and basically i get a plenty from stops and gyms. In fact what i've noticed now is more potions and revives from stops, not less, and at least from me.

The problem is you cannot conserve great balls, ultra balls and razz berries, you can't because if you throw a red ball even if it's a trash poke, it will break free instantly and flee. And i've sometimes saw more potions and revives than i see great balls, ultra balls and red razz.

I'm not kidding. Every time i'm running out of balls to catch pokemon potions and revives get handed to me along with nanabs and pinaps and the useless pokeballs.

RNG. It's entirely RNG. I'm swimming in Revives right now - I deleted 20 today, for instance. I'm drowning in Potions - deleted almost 80 today. Same with my wife; she's actually down to less than 100 Pokeballs (of all colours), and is looking to restock but instead, she's getting Revives and Potions from Pokestops and Gyms.

A few weeks/months ago, I was getting no Revives at all. My daughter's account went 6 weeks or so where we were doing Raids simply because we had a better chance of getting Revives than anywhere else.

It's RNG. All RNG. Crazy RNG. One of the more annoying aspects of Pokémon Go is the RNG being less "random" and more "I'm going to be a Bleephole to you for a few weeks. Taa!".

I have plenty. The only time I felt low is during Kyogre raids.

I thought it had increased?
