So I hatched a full badge of 10k's this morning. I was very excited at first, but knew that getting two research Suicune in a row means that I would receive nothing less then 9x Crapinch.
As expected I got punished with 6x Crapinch 2x Porygon and 1x Bagon "Yee harr". At first glance I couldn't see anything sexy among my hatches and started to chant all sorts of bad juju at Niantic. But in the rubble of crap an unusual high Cp Crapinch was poking out.
I couldn't believe it.. was it really? Double checked.
THe 100% TRAPINCH has appeared.
So I've heard some gossip that this twat finally have been givin a purpose. I want to make sure that no one is trolling me if I'm going to invest into it. TO INVEST OR NOT TO INVEST?

Wait until the meta sorts itself out before making any serious investments. But it should be noted that hatched Trapinch with a bit less than perfect IVs (below 90% basically) can evolve to have just under 1500cp, so if you didn't delete them already, also save one of the worse Trapinches.

Well.. Must admit defeat yet again. I instantly deleted all the others out of bad habit..
I'll sit on my 1520 Flygon until a PoGo guru have figured if its worth dumping 145000 dust into it. Got enough candies to land it at 2490 and give it 3x new attack if that becomes a thing.

I think it could be a winner in the Ultra League but WAIT. What makes it great is Mud Shot, which powers energy up crazy fast. The reason I said wait, is looking at the numbers, some moves are stupidly stronger than others and superior in both energy gain and damage. If Niantic sticks to their habits, they will do a move rebalance to bring everything more on the same level.

My level 20 1497 plays really well in the 1500 league. If I had a 1520 (100%). I would definitely power it up to try in 2500 league.

Just traded the only Flygon I had, both of us trying to get below 1500, ironically it went Lucky! Mine ended up at exactly 1500 CP, his ended up at 1508 or something, but at least will be half-price to bring into the 2500 league ....

Mine is 1508 and I've been debating on investment...and what to do with my level 31 Vibrava. Evolve up or wait for a CD.

lygon actually is very good, mudshot and dragon claw do a lot of damage and earthquake is also a solid move.

Also its "trapinch" not "crapinch"

It seems legit. Most trapinch with IVs in the 80s or lower (or low attack IVs) will evolve to Flygon with CPs in the high 1400s. I used a double ground one in a few fights and it made quick work of the metagross everyone seems to have in their great league teams.

Flygon at lv35 or below are perfect for 2500cp- leagues even at 100iv.

Wild caught a level 35 Trapinch some time ago, evolved it to CP 2433 (or so). Three power-ups have it sitting at 2485. Used it against Spark's Ultra team, utterly destroyed them, I think it lost maybe 20% of its HP over the three battles.

It's a great specialist against Electric, and is good against Fire, Poison, and Rock [things it both resists (Electric 3x), and that Earthquake is SE against].

Further, it can buy Stone Edge, which is SE against a few of the things it's weak against. Haven't done that yet, waiting for more definitive data and a move rebalance, which might weaken it.

Finally, and maybe most importantly, Earthquake is a very powerful move in PvP, having the same Power and Energy cost as Future Sight, and slightly better than Outrage. Gone are the days when Groudon's best move was Solar Beam - in PvP, Earthquake is better because of STAB, and Solar Beam is really good too. Another PvP beast.

Again, I'd wait before making a big investment, but it looks like a PvP beast to me.

One thing I forgot to add. Mud Shot, the fast attack that Flygon (and Groudon) have is tied for tops in energy generation, producing 4.5 Energy per turn, along with Thunder Shock and Psycho Cut. Fast energy makes the charged attack that much more potent.

And finally, players who don't know the game well enough will think "Flygon - flying. Maybe I should hit it with electric, or rock." Both will fail, electric spectacularly.

For PvP, Ground is the rising star.

Groudon is on my Ultra Team...never have I been so glad to only get one of a Legendary (and thus, no candy)

Yes, but to open up the second attack (the combination of Earthquake and Solar Beam, with SB putting a big hurt on Water and a lot of other things) will cost you 100k dust and 100 Groudon candy. Even Fire Blast is a good counter move for taking on Grass. It's a great PvP battler.

Now wait until they come as Research Breakthroughs (January?) so you can get more candy. Pity they can't play at 1500, unless we get a way to lower levels. 0/0/0 at level 15 is CP 1574. But Flygon can fill that niche well, and gets STAB on its Dragon moves.

Well finally I have a use for the L35 subpar IV Trapinch I caught a while back.

Might actually see some use in the 2500CP league.

I need Fast TM and Charge TMs so bad. So bad.

I'd pay money for them. :/
