- Confusion and Psychic or Watergun and Surf are the ways to go if you want to give Mega Slowbro literally any chance at relevance.
- Skipping Ice Beam and Water Pulse is a great idea.
PVE Overview
Mega Slowbro is, without a doubt, one of the funniest Mega Evolutions of all time. Just look at the thing; the mutant, blood-sucking Shellder has basically eaten it!
...but, sadly for poor Mega Slowbro, it didn't aim for the head.
Mega Slowbro is one of the poorest Mega Evolutions in the game, and is generally a safe skip. The concept of whole-team DPS thanks to the Mega Boost is somewhat viable for Mega Slowbro, but its time on the field generally won't be enough for the DPS loss when compared to the competition to be worth it. As of its release, its only niche was as the first Psychic Type Mega Evolution in the game, but it's so weak when compared to monsters like even normal Mewtwo that this niche was not very impressive.
Grab enough energy to Mega Evolve a Slowbro for the dex entry, then bury it in your storage.
