PVE Offensive Moves Explanation

  • Pound benefits from STAB and is superior on offense in neutral fights.
  • Zen Headbutt performs slightly better when Super Effective, but otherwise is lackluster.
  • Hyper Beam hits hard with STAB, but only when not resisted.
  • Dazzling Gleam is inferior without STAB, but is more preferable when Super Effective.
  • Disarming Voice has pitiful damage output, despite being a 3-bar move.

PVE Defensive Moves Explanation

  • Zen Headbutt is the superior choice for defense with a higher base power, and also hurts Fighting-type attackers.
  • Pound doesn't deal a lot of damage on defense, despite STAB.
  • Dazzling Gleam has the earliest damage window, and can threaten Fighting-types.
  • Disarming Voice can be used frequently as a 3-bar move, but its late damage window makes it easy to dodge.
  • Hyper Beam is way too slow for defense.

PVE Overview

Audino is about as useless in the PvE meta as Chansey is. The high bulk, pathetic ATK, and pink appearance makes it an excellent candidate for those pink-themed gyms, if only it didn't share the exact same weaknesses. As a side note, the extra Stardust awarded for catching Audino makes it a high priority target.

PvP Moveset Explanation

Pound + Disarming Voice and Hyper Beam

Both Pound and Zen Headbutt are terrible for PvP due to their very underwhelming stats, but at least Pound performs better with STAB.

Disarming Voice costs the least amount of energy, and also provides coverage against Audino's only weakness to Fighting-types. Dazzling Gleam is redundant due to Disarming Voice being more accessible energy-wise, therefore Hyper Beam becomes the next best option for the secondary charge move, if only Audino had the energy generation to make use of it.

PvP Rating Explanation

Great League: 0 / 5

Audino is a mono-Normal type Pokemon with excellent bulk, and..... that's about it. Audino's stat distribution is amazing for Great League where the CP cap favors less ATK stats, however its absolutely horrible moveset prevents it from being anywhere near relevant in the meta. While it has similar stats and movesets as Chansey, at least the latter has a way to beat certain Ghost-types like Haunter. Hope Audino gets a move rebalance in the future.

Ultra League: 0 / 5

With a max CP of 1682, Audino doesn't have the stats to compete in the Ultra League.

Master League: 0 / 5

Pink can be stylish, but it ain't gonna win games against dragons and dinosaurs.
