PVE Offensive Moves Explanation

  • Given its moveset, it might be surprising to find out that Hidden Power is actually Unown's best fast move regardless of its typing.
  • Struggle is, without a doubt, Unown's best charged move!

PVE Defensive Moves Explanation

  • Unown is one of those rare Pokemon who can have one moveset serve as the absolute best option for both offense and defense! Just pair Hidden Power with Struggle and your Unown is the strongest that it can be!

PVE Overview

Only a lucky few have seen a familiar letter-shaped shadow on their nearby display outside of events held by Niantic, and it's likely that every one of these trainers remember the thrill of finding this; the single rarest non mythic/legendary Pokemon in the entire game!

Too bad it's pretty much just the Pokemon personification of an appendix!

Unown is one of the few Pokemon to have successfully translated properly from the main series to Go: mysteriously bad and badly mysterious. In the main games, it can only learn the random-typed move Hidden Power, and resorts to Struggle when it can't use its "powerful" move any longer. In Pokemon Go, it's literally the exact same story, except here you can just spam Struggle instead. After roughly 20 years since its initial release, it's probably safe to say that Unown doesn't actually have any "hidden power" to draw on.
