PVE Offensive Moves Explanation

  • Fury Cutter and Bug Buzz makes for the only worthwhile offensive movest for Ninjask

PVE Defensive Moves Explanation

  • Metal Claw pairs very well with any of Ninjask's Charged Moves, though Aerial Ace is the stand-out due to how quickly it comes out.
  • Fury Cutter is bad on defense. Its claim to fame is how quickly you can use it on offense, but on defense it comes out at set intervals, making it very sub-par.

PVE Overview

Like a locust, Ninjask will devour all of your resources if you let it, in particular your Stardust. So don't let it.

PvP Moveset Explanation

Fury Cutter + Aerial Ace and Shadow Ball or Bug Buzz

Fury Cutter is the preferred fast move, benefiting from STAB in addition to generating energy very quickly. Metal Claw is underwhelming.

Aerial Ace is a poor move despite having STAB, but can be very useful to bait shields due to its lower energy cost. Shadow Ball is able to hit most opponents for neutral damage and is handy when Ninjask is stuck in an unfavorable matchup. Bug Buzz takes advantage of STAB to deal large amounts of damage, but doesn't offer any significant coverage against Ninajask's 5 weaknesses.

PvP Rating Explanation

Great League: 1 / 5

Ninjask is a Pokemon for those who like to live on the edge, for those who like to take risks and live dangerously. With poor bulk and 5 weaknesses to common typings, Ninjask has a lot to fear and worry about. While its large offensive stat and access to mostly neutral Shadow Ball allows it to hit opponents hard, the large amounts of energy needed to shield bait with Aerial Ace and then damage with Shadow Ball is often too much to ask for before Ninjask ends up fainting. Overall an underwhelming candidate for PvP, but does considerably better if it can farm extra energy ahead of time to access Shadow Ball sooner, and also appreciates specific PvP formats like Silph Arena Cups to limit exposure to its vulnerabilities.

Ultra League: 0 / 5

Ninjask lacks sufficient stats for the Ultra League.

Master League: 0 / 5

Bugs don't really do well in Master League anyways.
