Darkrai's Return

Darkrai has issues with Fighting, Fairy, and Bug Types, of which many options exist. If you can't obtain better options, these are a few Pokemon that can help to get through this raid.

October 2020: Darkrai

Darkrai's weaknesses include Fighting, Bug, and Fairy

Flavor of the Month: Heatran

Heatran's double weakness to Ground-type means that's all you'll want to use, especially considering all of Heatran's resistances too!

FotM - Ultra Unlock brings old and new!

Ultra Unlock Dragon Week starts us off with a return to Rayquaza. Because of it's double weakness, you'll want to use Ice-types to take down this familiar favorite.

Our 2nd Ultra Unlock, Enigma Week, brings back Deoxys (normal forme) with shiny variant. Use your best Dark or Ghost-types to take on this Psychic foe, or maybe some Bugs if its Rainy.

The final Ultra Unlock, Unova Week is our first new boss; Genesect. The Bug/Steel-type sports a double Fire weakness, so get ready to burn the bug for an easy raid.

FotM - Kyurem's First Forme joins Pokemon Go

Kyurem completes the Tao trio while being the first of a trio of its own. We'll be getting two more Kyurem formes of the same types, so prep your counters now! The Ice-Dragon is weak to Fighting, Steel, Rock, Dragon, and Fairy attackers, giving you plenty of options (plus boosts in 4/7 weathers). This Flavor of the Month offers some pretty spicy choices, and while it's unlikely that you have these Pokemon and none of the better options listed below, these can pass in a pinch.

Flavor of the Month - Zekrom's Debut

The Dragon Electric-type Legendary Zekrom makes its electrifying debut this month sporting Dragon, Ground, Ice, and Fairy weaknesses. Windy, Clear, Snow, and Cloudy will boost these types respectively and our flavor of the month showcases usable options of each of these four types.

Flavor of the Month: Reshiram's Debut

Reshiram has a lot of potential counters, and its list changes abruptly with the weather. When picking off-meta pokes, it's probably best to look at the weather that you're most likely to encounter before committing.

Giratina - Altered Forme Raids

Giratina - Altered Forme is a fairly imposing force in raids, but it has a number of weaknesses to exploit. While the big-name Dragons tend to top the counter chart in general, Giratina's weakness to Ice tends to be an overlooked but still viable weakness to exploit.

Darkrai's Return

The Dark Type Pokemon Darkrai hits like a truck and is best handled by powerful Fighting Types suck as Lucario, Conkeldurr, and Machamp, but Bug and Fairy Types can pack a punch too, and can help to shore up a team weakness.

Flavor of the Month: Landorus

Landorus doesn't have many weaknesses to exploit, making the counters available fairly limited. That said, it has a double weakness to Ice, making it the absolute top choice when fighting the Abundance Pokemon.
