Overview

When Jolteon debuted as a raid boss, it was impossible - the only remotely winnable team was 6 maxed out Mewtwo, which no one had. Although its defense stat is unremarkable, Jolteon has a single weakness to Ground, which is cursed with poor moves.

Since Jolteon’s first run, some high powered Ground types and powerful generalists have been introduced into the game. Weather opens up room for situational, creative counters. Finally, Jolteon’s defense dropped slightly in the stat recalculation, allowing it to be soloed without Groudon or weather boost.

Approach

Team composition

  • Groudon is superior: it’s the only level 30 counter, with very few deaths

  • Rhyperior is also extremely bulky. Other generalists work near level 40.

Dodging strategy

  • Avoid dodging unless to squeeze in a charge move or if low on counters
