Happen to notice the title image for this month? We're finally done with snowy box images, as the northern hemisphere is finally emerging from winter! April is right around the corner, and a new set of events and bonuses is coming with it. With the Season of Legends well underway, let's take a look at Pokemon Go in April 2021!
March 2021 Research Breakthrough

|April 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. PST||May 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. PST|
Every week in April, Frillish will be available. This recently released Pokemon evolves into Jellicent, the latest big-name in PvP and a must-have for many players in the Go Battle League. Note that only the blue (male) Frillish will be available via breakthroughs, though the only difference in terms of genders is appearance.
The Higher They Fly
Taking down Giovanni in April will grant the player Shadow Zapdos, a remarkably strong Electric Type Pokemon. Note that players who have not yet turned in their Super Rocket Radars for March can hold onto them into next month to be able to capture Shadow Zapdos and start the next line. Using this method, a second Shadow Zapdos can be caught, or that radar can also be held onto for May, which is when Shadow Moltres will take center stage.

Spring into Spring
A spring-themed event (obviously) that features Happiny, Chansey, and Blissey wearing the good-old flower crown. While it's nice that they're giving us the full line instead of a Chansey that can't evolve, this event is a bit of a reminder of just how far the gym defense meta has fallen...
An event that will focus heavily on rival Pokemon, a situation exemplified in Zangoose and Seviper, or Durant and Heatmor. This event will also feature not-yet released Pokemon, so hopefully it will be interesting!
With Pokemon like Trubbish and Grimer running amok, this event will have a focus on trash and polution.
A brand new event will be available for one day on April 24. No details have been released yet.
Finally, another yet-to-be-announced event will finish out April and lead us into May.
