Submit Feedback or Error

It's time! The "Mysterious Weekend Event" has been fully revealed by Niantic. As speculated, the star of this Special Research Event is none other than the Mythical Bug/Steel Type Pokemon Genesect!

Tickets for this event are stated to go on sale "a few days" before the event, and they will no longer be available on March 26th. Note that tickets cannot be purchased with Pokecoins. Once the Exclusive Special Research has been collected, players are free to complete it at their leisure! Just note that they are non-refundable.

Genesect Special Avatar Items

This is a very rewarding event! Tons of rare items, avatar items, and an encounter with the regional Pokemon Durant are all huge deals, not to mention the encounter with the headliner, Genesect! And once this is done, Genesect will join the EX Raid Scene in April!

Note for Great League Players

Genesect will likely be released at Lv.15, meaning it has a 100% chance of rolling below 1500 cp via this event. This could very well be the only way to get a Genesect for Great League!

Gamepress Genesect Evaluation

Please note that we are going to hold off on posting an official evaluation of Genesect at the moment. This event is full of cues that it may see the stealth-release of its signature attack, Techno Blast, pre-release. This could very well change Genesect's actual utility, so expect a review after it has been released!

Genesect Release Celebration

Don't want to purchase a ticket for the exclusive content? Don't worry! All players, regardless of if they join the exclusive event or not, will be able to enjoy a very special event in celebration of Genesect's release!
