Yet another new event is coming our way! Incense day will be a special event during which incense will attract unique Pokemon in larger than average numbers, thus giving players a shot at rare Pokemon that incense only has a small chance of spawning under normal circumstances.

Incense Day: April 19
Time-Frame (Local) Increased Spawn Type Rare Pokemon Spawn
11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Water Clampearl
12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Fire Litwick
1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Grass Ferroseed
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Psychic Gothita
3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bug Joltik
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ground Drilbur

On top of this, Sentret will spawn in greater numbers throughout the event. Note that Sentret can be shiny!

To add to this, Incense will last for one hour until further notice and a special box containing 3 Incense will go on sale for 1 Pokecoin, which will be enough to get players half of the event's duration. Be sure to check out our events page for information on this, and every other known event in the game!

Trainers,

What do Water-, Fire-, Grass-, Psychic-, Bug-, and Ground-type Pokémon all have in common? They’ll all be featured in our first-ever Incense Day event! For the first time ever, Incense will attract certain Pokémon of certain types during specific time periods. Regardless of the time though, all Incense will attract Sentret during the event. Who knows—you might encounter a Shiny one!

We’re continuing to prioritize Pokémon GO experiences that can be enjoyed in individual settings. Incense will last for one hour until further notice, so be sure to activate one during the event to experience the Type Shuffle!
