Missing location, is it a bug?

The location on my pokemons are missing, it just simply say caught.

Lots of my mons are like that nowadays. I can see in trades that they still have the location data, but it just doesn't display. Even some old mons that I know displayed the location before now show blank. Some mons also get an incorrect tag, I have a bunch of Mewtwos that display the neighboring county instead of the one they were actually caught at.

Thank you. All I care is trade for long distance badge. I am currently staying at a hotel right beside the beach, it probably tag to the cell in the ocean.

That's entirely possible. But yes, they do still give you the trade distance.

Interesting and entirely possible. I too play near the ocean and many in my community have been experiencing this on and off. Now my mons all have a location but for a while it was just two commas.
