PSA: "Use a super-effective charged attack" field research task may be bugged

My counter was incremented by one after I used an Entei (replacing a Dragonite) against a Gardevoir.

Could be because fire resists fairy....? Either way, odd.

Are you sure?

Yes, it is bugged. I think that if you use SE charge on the first Pokemon you get credit for the rest of the battles in that run.

I agree. Happen to me too.
First one use machamp for blissey, then following next 5 mons don't have super effective also count.

Will test it again the next time I get it. Or perhaps someone could alert The Silph Road, which will quickly confirm what counts. Then https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/research-tasks-list should be updated.

I read somewhere (and believe me, i will find the source if needed) that when you battle in a group and someone performs a super effective charge move in that group, everyone with that quest is credited for it. Even if they did not perform the super effective charge attack themself.

If you use a super effective charge move against one defender, you get credit for that defender and all defenders that follow it no matter what type moves you use against the later defenders. Presumably using a super effective charge move against a defender triggers a flag, and that flag is not cleared when the next battle begins.
