where are all the revives??
So I have 0 revives and like 6 fainted pokemon and was meeting up with some people to do some raids later so I decided to spend an hour or so spinning as many stops and gyms as I could to stock up. I swear I spun over 50 stops and 20 gyms. The results....2 revives and one max revive. I then proceeded to do 2 kyogre raids and an aggron raid. The results from that......0 revives. 0 freaking revives from those 3 raids. One of the kyogres had blizzard so after all those raids I had probably 16 fainted pokemons. How the heck does niantic expect us to keep doing raids when we can't even revive our guys? But good thing I get 20 super potions and 13 golden razzberrys (sarcasm). Am I just super unlucky or is everyone else having this problem? And 6 max revives for 180 pokecoins, are you serious??? That is straight up price gouging.

I was down to 0 revives today but I have been hoarding max revives so I still have 50 of those. Pokestops seem to rarely give revives, with a gym its only 1 every 3 spins or so.
It sucks when you get 0 revives for a Kyogre raid. I have been putting random junk in gyms so I can just transfer instead of reviving. But my supply of max revives is going down. I have over 200 Max Potions but there are useless without revives!
Hi, elitist with 3 gold gym loop here. I'm still butthurt that they added healing items to the raid rewards pool, but I would honestly not have a problem if they upped the drop rate of revives from gym spins. I just don't want to see Niantic overadjust pokestop droprates like they've done before, I used to trash hundreds of healing items per week and be at 0/0/10 balls all the time, I like the current ball drops much more.
Sorry for always giving the only possible advice for helping your situation, it's not like there are mechanics in the game that you are able to utilize to increase your healing item drops (massive sarcasm). I suppose we should all just shut up and let you keep whining about it until Niantic changes the game to align with your specific play style.
Seriously, it's not as if when we always bring up finding several gyms in one area, and endeavoring to get your badges for said gyms to gold, we mean to imply that such a task is easy. It isn't. My regular farming spot is less than two miles from my house, and it was only a few months ago that I was able to get every gym badge in that area to gold (I've been playing since day one).
Finding a good farming spot is something every player should attempt to do, even if it isn't in the most conveniently nearby area. We all know Niantic isn't above tweaking drop rates for various items, so getting a good farming spot is a great long term goal.
And get serious, you know damn well when people are worried about TMs getting even rarer, they aren't talking about the damn Fast TMs, basically everyone who plays seriously has more of those than could need, it's obviously the Charge TMs we're talking about.
You are correct, there is a revive drought.
It seems like this is something Niantic thinks is fun. For a while, they had a potion drought. Now everyone has plenty of potions and is hurting for revives.
My guess is that eventually, they'll switch this up for something else you need. So hoard everything you can I guess?
I spent a hour this morning walking in a loop around a set of gold gyms I have. I got 5 revives.
Throwing random crap in gyms to save revives, is not fun game play, but I've started doing it.
I could focus on doing low tier raids, but higher tier raids are more social, and more fun.
I already have been clearing gyms revive-lessly.
It is basically about paying 1 dollar per raid versus 3, and it's very annoying to have to work around it, but I'll quit playing before I buy revives.
I get so many I'm constantly tossing them. I think Gold badges are the key. Also, two other important things:
1. On Offense: Stop letting your Pokemon faint! There is no reason to battle until the bitter end. Just switch out before the faint and move on to another attacker. That way, you only have to use potions. I battle a lot, and this is a perfectly sustainable tactic. Raids (due to the dodge glitch or needing to squeeze out every last bit of damage to beat the timer) are the only circumstances under which your Pokemon should be fainting.
2. On Defense: Farm throwaway wild L35 defenders that don't need to be revived. You can even evolve stage 1s into stage 2s for the XP and enhanced defensive potential before doing it. Or use these to attack gyms and send them away when done. Maximize everything.
In general, the amount of revives given is perfectly adequate unless you live in an area with limited resource-gathering potential (for which you have my sympathies). And if you've already gotten yourself into this pickle and continue to want to hurl your dead team against Kyogre, you may have to wait and replenish for a while. For everyone else, you just need to stop playing in a way that necessitates using so many.
